Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-8)
I've been down and living in the lovely Puerto Vallarta area for almost 10 years now. We've raised our adopted son from Spain there as well as our 2 young kids. I'm originally from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Owner purchased this Condo in 2011
Why Owner chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
Puerto Vallarta was voted by AARP in July of 2010 (the biggest retirement association in the world out of the USA) as the number one vacation home place in the world. Other than the obvious, the weather and the people are wonderful.
What makes this Condo unique
I love going for long walks with my family at the beautiful brand new marina. We love the fact that there's a sea-food market within 3 minutes walking distance from which we get fresh seafood daily.

Lovely condo building in La Cruz
The condo building is lovely and faces the ocean. The condo was as described except we were told that there were double beds in the second bedroom when they were actually twin but not a great big deal.
There is always a great cross breeze through the unit. The only downside was the construction creating a lot of dust and noise but we soon tuned it out.
Great saltwater pool and great staff - special shout out to Alejandro and Chilos on the front door. Lovely, smiling gentlemen who can't do enough for you.
Great place to stay
La Cruz is a less-crowded and quiet small town close to some wonderful beaches and lots of activities. Just what we wanted! We feel very fortunate to have landed here. The condo complex is extremely well maintained with a very nice pool, an exercise equipment room, good parking, and good security. Management cares and the residents are friendly. No noisy night parties. Also the town and neighborhood are quite safe; no problem walking from downtown to the complex at night. Plus the town has descent restaurants and super fish markets, and a great Sunday market.
The individual units are very well laid out with private balconies. Bedrooms and bathrooms are well separated. Our unit was well equipped with kitchen gear and lots of towels, as well as a washer/dryer. Beds and showers were good. Some elements are reaching end-of-life, such as the dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and screen doors. However, it was a great place for a family reunion, and we were all very happy with our stay. I would definitively recommend La Cruz and Joya de Huanacaxtle, and may very well return.
The was comfortable but some items needed repairs
Overall, the condo was equipped very well but needed some repairs, namely inoperable patio door locks and screen doors, dishwasher door would bind on stove handle, RO not properly hooked up, kitchen sink leaking. None of these items were corrected except the sink. TV was in Spanish only. The property manager was not present upon arrival and the condo was very hot when we arrived. Except for the above items we still had a good time and would recommend it if the deficiencies are corrected.
Albertan in La Cruz
Just spent 2 weeks at 374394 La Jolla condo in La Cruz. Everything was as good or better than expected. The unit was spacious and very clean. The owner met us on the first day to show us around and to answer any questions. He left us his phone number and e mail and because he lived close by he was readily available. The building and the grounds are well maintained and the people who work there were outstanding. The front gate personnel were especially helpful. La Cruz is a great place to get away to if you prefer a more laid back atmosphere but there are enough variety of restaurants to keep you interested. The farmer's market Sundays is a must do. Philos for Blues music the Octopus's Garden, Ficus coffee house, Charlie's, Cava de la Martinez, Yaya,s and Taco's on the Street are all great places. Oh yes and yoga and Spanish lessons at the yacht club at the marina.
