Why Chris and Alexis chose Las Cruces
My wife and I chose this home due to the benefits of this particular location. This home is close to all of the amenities and needs of daily life while being able to retreat into one of the most quiet, beautiful, and awarding neighborhoods in Las Cruces for shopping, dining, and schools. Our needs, however, have changed and expanded with our growing family, but we hope others may enjoy what we have loved for years.
What makes this House unique
Walk or minutes drive to shopping, dining, and entertainment district. Walking, hiking, and park trails nearby. Blocks away from public transportation. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Wonderful and welcoming neighbors.
100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Truly an oasis
We very much enjoyed our stay at the oasis! They had more than enough linens for our family of 9 and truly thought of everything someone would need to stay away from home. Highly recommend for the Las Cruces area.
Excellent Southwest home
We had a great stay, right in Las Cruces, and a fantastic home. Everything was as described.
Always a treat to rent this home
Home is always clean and well prepped. Excellent location and very supportive owners.
Thank you so much! It is always a pleasure to have you as guests in our home.
Enjoyment in a great location
Desert Oasis is a very comfortable place, offering a great location in a wonderful neighborhood that provided privacy and a full back yard for our dog. The convenience of being close to New Mexico State University as well as the mall, the conference center and many wonderful restaurants was awesome!
Thank you so much! It was a pleasure having you as guests in our home. We hope to have you stay again!
Very nice house. Perfect for a family.
We had a great visit in Las Cruces and so appreciated being able to stay in this home rather than having to impose on family or navigate a hotel. Some highlights of the house are:
*The location is very convenient to a grocery store, Target, restaurants, fast food, and even the family we were visiting.
*The back yard had a nice little patio and table for morning coffee and to let the baby play outside.
*The living room was nice and big for family gathering.
*The kitchen was very well supplied with pots and pans, coffee maker, etc.
*The air hockey table was an added bonus!
Some disappointments were:
*The housekeeper had incorrectly locked the door so we weren't able to get in when we arrived. However, when we called the owners there was an easy fix and we got right in.
*Even though the housekeeper had been there because they locked the door, they had not done much cleaning. The sheets were full of pet hair and it didn't look like they had been changed after the last residents. We had to strip and wash the sheets before we could sleep in them. When we left, we stripped the sheets and left them in front of the washer so the next residents would, hopefully, have clean sheets.
*When we arrived, it was obvious the floors had not been vacuumed. Since we were there so long, I needed to vacuum mid-week. The vacuum was in an unlocked closet, so I assumed it was ok to use it. It appeared the vacuum had not been emptied in months. I spent 15 minutes cleaning hair and dirt out the vacuum so it would pick up our Christmas morning crumbs and small scraps. The housekeeper needs to be shown how to empty the vacuum. Once it was empty, it picked things up and the carpets looked nice.
*There were 3 rolls of toilet paper for 6 adults and a baby to use for 6 days. I feel that part of what we pay for in a VRBO is toilet paper.
*There were 2 extra kitchen trash sacks left for us to use. 6 adults will create more trash than that in six days. Basics like trash bags should be provided.
All-in-all, however, it was a great stay and we would love to stay there again. The problems had more to do with a inefficient cleaning crew than with the actual property. I highly recommend it.
Chris the owner was very accommodating and quick to respond when we had a minor problem. Repair was done in timely manner. House is spacious for being a 2 bedroom. Safe secure backyard for pets. Area was very quiet and convenient to restaurants and stores. Would stay again when in Las Cruces.
