Alanda Bennett purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Alanda Bennett chose Irish Channel
Actually we were looking for the building, a historic corner grocery store to be converted into an artist studio and office on the bottom with living space above. When we found it we fell in love with the neighborhood and all the amenities it has to offer – easy walking distance to so many shops and restaurants,
What makes this Apartment unique
Light and airy full of charm with a view of beautiful historic homes. You will feel like a local as you walk to the very many restaurants only a few blocks away, or hop the Streetcar to go Downtown only minutes away. Or just sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy your vacation.

An incredible find. One block from excellent restaurants and shops on Magazine Street. Ten minutes by an A/C bus to the WWII Museum. Same bus continues to the edge of the French Quarter. Streetcar also nearby. So wonderful to be away from the intensity of the French Quarter in a quiet neighborhood. The only street noise is the occasional person talking as they walk by. Easy to walk around all of the beautiful mansions in the Garden District. We even ordered take out delivered to the apartment twice. Molly's and the Ruby Slipper are great breakfast places. Ate Saturday Jazz Brunch at the Commander's Palace. No need to get a car with this location.
Alanda is by far the finest host I've experienced. The apartment was prepared for our arrival with fresh flowers and plenty of cool drinks in the fridge.
A great NOLA VRBO!
Great location! Property owners are so nice and accommodating! Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and most definitely will again!
Amazing apartment in the Garden District of New Orleans
I’ve rented at many locations and this was a favorite. The apartment is cozy with sublime special touches from the fresh flowers to the beverages and croissants we felt very welcomed. The apartment is a block from Magazine street and close to St Charles street car in the beautiful Garden District. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom is a delight. The high ceilings and decor provides a true New Orleans experience. I will definitely return to this gem for any future visits to NOLA.
The Best !!
I can’t say enough about this place, it was so awesome. The apartment was beautiful and clean. Lots of room and natural light. The decor was very New Orleans with lots of crosses, voodoo items, and art. The amenities were plentiful with croissants, bottled waters, sodas, coffee, and even breakfast cereals. They also provided everything you use at home including hair dryer, soaps, shampoo, first aid kit, iron and board, and washer/dryer with detergent. Books were also provided for reading from local authors and books on local culture and travel books. can’t think of anything they missed for our comfort. They even have a tv with satellite service and Roku. You are also a block away from the bus on Magazine street, which has lots of restaurants and 6 blocks away from the trolley on St. Charles. All transportation is within walking distance. I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
