About Jim Brown, Beach Bum Rentals
Our family has been coming to Hilton Head for over twenty years and have always loved the low key, quiet atmosphere on the island. Since our family name is Lee, that is why we called our home Leeward Breezes.
Jim Brown, Beach Bum Rentals purchased this House in 2010
Why Jim Brown, Beach Bum Rentals chose Sea Pines
We love to ride bicycles. The bike/walking paths in Sea Pines are extensive, not crowded, and safe for biking, even with kids. We used to pass this neighborhood a lot on our bikes and these 'round houses' always intrigued me. My husband's favorite thing is to walk on the beach, which we can easily do from Leeward Breezes. Also, we wanted a place where we could bring our Australian Shepherds, so we could enjoy Hilton Head Island with them and not have to leave them at home or in a kennel. Many other properties do not allow pets, even if you are an owner.
What makes this House unique
The homes in Night Heron are free-standing homes and in a very quiet, peaceful atmosphere. They are really places to relax and unwind. Being pet friendly means your best friend can enjoy long walks on the bike/walking paths, the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, or the beach! Plus, if you do not have pets, we try very hard to make it nice and fresh and clean for you to stay too!

Very solid beach visit
Overall a great week and would return. Always have had good luck with staying in The Sea Pines. Loved it was a walking distance from the beach and our dog was happy it was a pet friendly place. Only thing I thought could be improved was the some of the detail cleaning. Nothing major was bad just some baseboards edges and things were noticeably dirty. I’m a bit of clean freak so I notice it but at the same time except some of that in a dog friendly beach property. A lot of things get drug in and only have so much time between check in and outs. Great stay and price point for a stand alone unit on Hilton Head
Great time with our dog
Location is awesome and the yurt was very nice. I am not so sure how recently the kitchen was remodeled as the appliances in general were in fair condition but we loved the place and had a wonderful time.
Very comfortable place to stay. We would stay here again.
Our second time staying at Leeward Breezes and we enjoyed it yet again! Wonderful location and the unit had everything we needed. Thank you again!!
Cute little house in the pines
The cute little house was tucked away amid pines and palms. It had a great screened porch. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed frequent walks around the quiet neighborhood and on the beach. It takes only a few minutes to get to shops and restaurants. Very walk friendly . Bike rentals are everywhere. And a great way to get around. Very nice bike paths. The first morning there we saw a deer in the yard. Pay attention near the ponds and lagoons. You may see an alligator! We saw one in the water close to Night Heron entrance. Remember to stay back and do not feed.
Very POOR housekeeping and condition.
The "bungalow" that we rented was very small (520sf) and very poorly managed.
Cons: On arrival we spent the first day cleaning to make the 1 bedroom bungalow livable. We were greeted by various live insects in the kitchen and bathroom. The baseboards and corners were filthy with dust and dog hair. The ac vents were caked with thick dust. The furniture soiled and bed worn out. The kitchenware and utensils were greasy, yuk!
Pros: the linens and towels were clean. It is in a quiet and convenient location by the Sea Pines Beach and only 1block inside the Entrance Gate.
We are very sorry for your bad experience and are working with our rental agent to get the issues resolved as soon as possible.
Leeward Breezes is the place for you to spend some relaxing time near the beach in private accommodations. Hilton Head Island has a long history of habitation and has become a wonderful destination for beach-oriented vacations. Sea Pines, located on the toe of Hilton Head Island, is the site of world-class golf, housing, restaurants, numerous leisure activities, all in a forested and tranquil setting surrounded by the ocean. Sea Pines has uncrowded beaches and Leeward Breezes is in a private, quiet part of Sea Pines, just inside the Sea Pines' Ocean Gate. Leeward Breezes is a free-standing home in a very quiet community surrounded by nature. The community pool is close, as well as an uncrowded beach and ocean just a short walk away.
Activity and amenities are convenient. Restaurants, shopping, groceries, and sports (golf, tennis, kayaking, sailing) activities are available within Sea Pines or just outside it at Coligny Plaza, near the popular public beach located there.
Other Activities: kayaking, boogie boarding, skim boarding, horseback riding
Golf: Golf on Hilton Head Island is legendary. An island only ten miles long, Hilton Head Island contains twenty-nine golf courses, with more off-island. The Heritage Golf tournament has been held in Sea Pines for many years. Located in Sea Pines, the Harbortown Golf Links are rated #1 in South Carolina and among the top 100 in the United States. It is only one of three courses located in Sea Pines. Leeward Breezes is located in Sea Pines and is only a short drive from the Sea PInes golf resort center.
From Sea Pines' nearby Harbortown, you can experience dolphin cruises, sunset sails, ocean/marsh kayaking, and sport fishing. Many of these can also be found at South Beach, which is near the tip of the toe of Hilton Head Island.
Restaurants and shops throughout Sea Pines will make sure that you don't go hungry or thirsty or lack beach supplies, mementos, or souvenirs of your stay. All of these features are woven among the golf courses in Sea Pines. Should you choose to leave Sea Pines, there are many more restaurants, shops, activities, and, yes, more golf courses to choose from on Hilton Head Island.
