This 2BR apartment comfortably accommodates four on vacation or in town, but it’s also a perfect getaway for anyone looking for a small slice of heaven on Cape Ann during the off season.
WE DO NOT RENT AS A PRIVATE EVENT VENUE.

This apartment is on the second floor of our house, where we live, with our gorgeous landscape and amazing views of Gloucester's Inner Harbor. Within this apartment, there are two bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and a hidden trundle bed for young children with a full bathroom with soaking tub. The second bedroom, off of the living area, has a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower stall. Each bedroom is ideal for couples traveling together, but the twin & trundle bed make it flexible for up to 6 people. The living room couch is extra long and comfy for sleeping but it is not a sleep-sofa.

The apartment has its own separate entrance and our guests tell they feel they have a lot of privacy while staying with us, even though we share the same house. There is off-street parking for up to 3 cars. The open living-dining space has a dining room table that can seat 4, flat screen TV with premium Comcast cable, WiFi, a comfy sofa with coffee table, two over-sized chairs, and a breakfast bar with stools at the kitchen counter. The well-equipped kitchen has an oven/stove, fridge with freezer, coffeemaker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and full set of dishes, pots & pans, flatware and many utensils. If anything is missing, just let us know. We’re right downstairs!

I am Rebecca and manage this property. I live on the first floor below this apartment with my retired mother, Dot, (aka 'Gloucester Quilter') who quilts and gardens at home. One of us is always on hand to attend to any question or concern.

We are very knowledgeable about how best to experience the North Shore and day trips in our region and towns across New England. Family getaway

We are so happy with our stay with Rebecca and Dot! The house and yard are wonderful. The location makes it easy to walk to parks and shopping and restaurants are also nearby. Bonus that we were able to bring out 8 year old Yellow Lab who loved playing with Dash.

Hidden Gem

This is a well furnished two bedroom apartment with an amazing view and a warm and welcoming host. It is a great spot for people traveling with pets as the landlord has a very sweet dog. It is very comfortable. A home away from home.

The rental space is on the 2nd floor of the home. The upstairs doors do not have locks on them, the house door is usually left unlocked , but a key is given to you upon request. The beds and linens are quite comfy and each bed has a beautiful handmade quilt on them.Squirrels walking on the roof wake you up at 7am. There was quite alot of dog fur in the master bedroom. You can hear talking and noise if you sleep in the master bedroom.

My mother has owned in this property since 2000. I moved back home in 2009 to help support her. We decided to join VRBO in Nov 2011 after we had such a positive experience renting ourselves through VBRO. We have enjoyed hosting some great guests from all over the country and internationally!
This apartment is an 'in-law' apartment on the second floor of the house where we live on the first floor. We love sharing our property, pool (in summer) and landscape with our guests. As our reviews confirm, we have had many happy guests.
We do not rent for extended stays because, while we have had many amazing visitors, we did have a few "bad apples." We are cautious about sharing our property with incompatible 'neighbors' for extended stays. We hope you respect our perspective.
As a policy, we do not give out our address for privacy and security reasons. We live here along with our neighbors in one of the best kept secret locations on Cape Ann. We feel our online reviews speak for themselves.

Why they chose this property

Gloucester and Cape Ann are an hour from Boston. We have amazing beaches, rich history and cultural legacy and award winning restaurants. You can easily take a day trip to Boston by commuter rail and come back and see a glorious sunset over the harbor.
