About the host

Host profile image
We are long time residents of the Pacific Northwest and enjoy all it has to offer. We are happy to share our property with visitors to this beautiful part of the world.

Why they chose this property

Rich and Deniece chose this property for its charm, privacy and opportunities. The city life that Seattle has to offer is only a ferry ride away. Restaurants, sports, music and more are all nestled in the hustle and bustle of a major metropolitan area. There are always more things to discover each time you go there. But when you have had enough of the fast pace, there is no better place to return to. The quiet setting on the shores of Ostrich Bay provides a place to unwind. Whether its an early morning paddle in the mists, watching a storm blow through or reading a book in the Glass House to sound of rain, the sense of solitude becomes addictive. These are just a few of the reasons why this gem was chosen.

What makes this property unique

Our Romantic 1930s Beach Cottage is a quiet private place to relax in the Pacific Northwest. The property itself is a nice oasis to just isolate as a couple and enjoy our amenities such as firepits, sunsets, beach walks and kayaking.
It is also a home to come back to after venturing out to see all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Access to Seattle is only 15 minutes away where you can take a fast foot ferry or a slower state ferry to downtown Seattle. There you can find all the city has to offer and most of it is walking distance. Pike Place Market, the Waterfront, the Seattle Symphony, professional sports teams (such as Mariners, Seahawks and Sounders) are just a few of the attractions to visit. There are several restaurants to choose from to celebrate any special occasions you have in mind.
For a longer trip across Puget Sound you can drive to Mount Rainier to see it up close for photos or put on your hiking boots and immerse yourself in its alpine meadows.
Here on the west side of Puget Sound there are several attractions to fill your schedule. Just as with Mount Rainier, close by is Olympic National Park to explore. Or visit the coastal town of Poulsbo - A Nordic themed town with cultural celebrations, shopping and dining. Further north is Port Townsend with it Wooden Boat Festival, Winery and more. Still further north is Port Angeles with its Dungeness Crab Festival, whale watching tours and ferry connections to Victoria, British Columbia.
Come experience what our Romantic 1930s Beach Cottage has to offer!
