New Rustic Apartment - High Speed Internet (30 Mega Bit With Optic Fiber)
- english, french, italian
I'm Lara and I like meeting new people from all over the world. I can speak English and a bit of French and I am a sociable and helpful person. Being born and raised in Lucca, I know my home town very well and I can show people around and making them know the most important attractions of Lucca or surrounging areas. I really like lingustic and cultural exchange. I am very creative and I love photography, bricolage and decoupage. I love to cook, to make cakes, fine wine and good food.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful city
We had a wonderful week staying in Lara’s apartment. The location is excellent (just inside the walls and very easy to access the walls for walking/cycling). The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including comfy beds! The local information provided was very helpful and Lara was welcoming and kind to us all. There was one small problem with the air conditioner which was sorted quickly and Lara kept us well informed. We had great day trips to Florence and the mountains (Candalla pools) from Lucca and can highly recommend Lara’s property for a stay in this area. Lucca itself is so beautiful and fun to explore, we hope we will be back one day. Thanks again Lara, it was a really perfect week!
Great location, very spacious apartment inside the walls.
We loved our apartment in Lucca inside the walls. No car needed ... City is walkable and there are many options for day trips by train. Train station is a 10-15 walk. Owner, Lara, was great to meet us earlier than anticipated and was available if needed.
A relaxing stay in an apartment located in the town of Lucca, Italy. All the comforts of home!
Firstly the apt looked exactly as in the photos. It was also spotlessly clean. We were able to cook a lot of the time and everything was there that we needed. The full size fridge/freezer, the dishwasher and the washing machine made it all easy. Linen & towels were provided, and lots of cleaning products also. It was a 5 min walk into the centre of town, no need for transport. A bakery, many restaurants and possibly the best gelato in Lucca was right on our doorstep. The Lucca train station was a 10min stroll, with connections to Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and anywhere else in Italy that you needed to go. Bikes were on hire to either ride around the wall or just ride around town. It’s a beautiful city with lots happening, such friendly people, gorgeous buildings and gardens, and of course the magnificent wall. Loved it all!
And many, many thanks go to Lara, who helped make this happen and was available anytime.
A gem of an apartment in Lucca
I would give this rental four-and-a-half stars if I could, as it was just about perfect for us.
We spent two weeks in Lara's lovely flat. She was very welcoming and accommodating. She met us at the flat and gave us a thorough introduction to things. She also left a long list of suggestions for restaurants, grocery stores, and the like. The kitchen was very well-equipped, though some of the pots and pans are starting to show signs of use.
The apartment was in a perfect location: near to the walls and about a five-minute walk from the train station. The flat was a little noisy from time to time (there was construction in a neighbouring apartment) but it really didn't bother us.
We were in Lucca for two weeks in November, and it was cold and damp at times. The heating works well but we found that the living room took a while to warm up. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well (though you have to be careful with the folding door or you will have water all over the floor) and it is always great to have laundry facilities on-site.
It is worth noting that this flat is on the top floor of the house, on the fourth floor. We didn't mind the climb, but it would be tough for those with mobility issues.
The only issue we had at all with the flat was during a couple of days of very heavy rain, when the tile roof leaked into the kitchen. Lara responded very quickly and even offered to come over and clean up, if necessary--which it absolutely wasn't.
We loved Lucca, and this flat was a big part of our enjoyment of the city. We'd love to return and would be only too happy to stay here again.
We were lucky enough to recently spend 4 weeks in this fantastic apartment in Lucca. From our very first contact with Lara until the day we sadly left Lucca, the whole process was stress free. The apartment is immaculately clean and exactly as described. The location is so central, being a true 10 minute walk from the train station, 1 minute walk to the Lucca Wall, 5 minutes from the local Conad supermarket and Via Filungo. All in all, we had a wonderful experience in this beautiful town and Lara's apartment was the best part of all. We would stay in no other apartment if we are ever lucky enough to be in Lucca again. Grazie Lara.

Convenient, Clean, and Quiet
We spent seven days in this apartment and it met all our needs very well. The property has not been available as a rental for long, so some of the things one might expect to find in properties which have been available as rentals for a while were not there. For instance, one might expect a few basics of cooking to be in the kitchen (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc.) leftover from other visitors but they were not since there have not been very many other visitors. This was not a problem for us, since we preferred to dine out while there, but for some snacking it is nice to have those items. We did purchase some items fully expecting to leave what we did not use. I consider this a way of paying forward to the next guests, since we have used what was available left by others in different properties through the years.
The owner was prompt, friendly, courteous, and very helpful. She gave us some good information about where to find items we wished to buy for friends back home and quickly answered any questions we sent (we used email for communication, but there are other ways to contact her). She was also very accommodating of our need to leave extremely early the morning of our departure and we were able to leave our keys in the secure box downstairs on our way out.
The description of the property is accurate. Television, high speed internet, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend the property and would love to use it again if we have the need or opportunity to do so in this area of Italy.
Just down the street and around the corner (back towards the town center) is a very good pasticceria with excellent coffee, pastries, and savory items to eat. We considered everything inside the walls of Lucca to be within walking distance. We had no bad experiences in any of the many restaurants or coffee bars we visited. Sadly, we had to return home.
The main attractions of the town as the San Martino Cathedral, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, San Michele and San Frediano churches, Guinigi Tower, Tower of the Hours and Via Fillungo (the main commercial street) are just few minutes walking from the flat.
Walking up on the Guinigi Tower is a unforgettable experience: from the tower you'll be able to admire the spectacular view on the whole town.
