About this property

Windham Mountain Ski Lodge and slopes is across the road from our complex. There is no need to drive and park there. Save time waiting in traffic to get in and out of the ski area. Short Walk to Magic Carpet that takes you up to the lodge.

Sleeps maximum of 7-8 people:
In master bedroom upstairs is a King size bed with full bathroom .
In second bedroom downstairs , two twin beds( can be put together to make it a king)and a full size bunk bed with full bathroom. Also, a small futon (can fit 2 small kids or 1 adult) in living room.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and full size appliances and dining area with table for 6 and counter seating for 3.
In the living room, there is a Modular sofa with 2 recliners. 50" Flat Screen TV with Google TV and HDMI inputs, DVD player, Hi speed Internet/WiFi, Stereo/CD.
A new VIZIO 40" Class D-Series FHD LED Smart TV in master bedroom with a DVD player.

There is a Brand New Washer/Dryer in downstairs bathroom.

Enjoy the fully Enclosed Pool and Hot Tub across the parking lot from our unit.
Parking for 2 cars. No Smoking. No Pets. It is a short drive to the town of Windham with restaurants, banks, places of worship and stores. Also nearby is a Winter Park for snow tubing and numerous hiking trails at nearby Windham Path .

Overall

Great location, lovely owner, accommodations were not luxurious but more than adequate. We had a problem with the TV /cable connection and the owners spent a lot Of time calling the cable company to assist us. I would recommend this place

We have been travelling to the Windham area for over 25 years. We live in Westchester County,NY and it is just a 2 hour drive for us to get here. We started going up to Windham when my son was young and wanted to learn to ski. Then came my daughter who wanted to follow in her brother's footsteps. Now that our kids are grown up and on their own, we hope to share our home with other families that want to experience what Windham has to offer from a great location that is close to everything.

Why they chose this property

Eventually, we got tired of renting hotel rooms every weekend we went to ski, and as the kids got older there was so much more 'equipment' we had to pack, so we decided to buy a home so we could leave all our ski equipment and their toys in but we didn't want to have to drive to the mountain since the lines to the parking lot were getting longer as more people would go to the mountain. We found this place and it was the perfect location. we could walk to the mountain, the kids had a place to play and we could relax by a fire. When the spring came we realized how much more it was than just a ski place, the Windham area has so much to offer year-round. the kids would spend holidays and the summers up here too. We would have family and friends come up and enjoy the area as well.
This place was a second home to us. Windham Mountain Village was a community where people cared for their neighbors and it was a safe environment for our kids to be in. The property was well-managed and grounds taken care of by someone full-time. Snow was always shoveled and the landscaping was beautiful. The town was a 5 minute drive away and has a library, deli, restaurants, movie theatre, antique shops and events going on all the time.
It is particularly beautiful during fall foliage season when the leaves start turning color.Summers are great for fishing and hiking. It is a 4 season location.

What makes this property unique

This unit is at the edge of the property so it is quiet and has a backyard with some privacy. When there is snow kids can go sledding on the backyard slope.There is a clubhouse for owners to use for parties and kids can go play there. There is a ping pong table, cable tv , games, and books there. There is a bigger hill by the clubhouse that kids can go sledding when there's enough snow. they are 2 outdoor tennis courts steps away in the complex for use in nice weather.
