Loved our stay!
The views and the enclosed porch with a bed on it were enough to hook us. Having the access and equipment to paddle the lake made it that much better! Great location to explore Baxter and surrounding areas. Overall, a simple and very relaxing beautiful spot we’d definitely visit again!

Beautiful setting!
We had a great stay at this traditional Maine camp. Comfortable and quiet with a fabulous view. If you are preparing your own meals bring your spices, oil, storage containers, etc. Communication with the owner was easy and quick.

Awesome view
Simple cabin, clean and cozy. We absolutely loved the view of the lake and Mt. Katahdin, spent almost all of our time on the deck or screened porch. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and picture-perfect cabin by the lake
Hard not to fall in love with the cabin, full of character and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor setting with the fire pit under the stars, definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Maine. Also, it was fantastic to have direct access to the lake with our own private beach with canoes and paddles (the equipment was not in perfect condition but was usable).

I live year round in Eustis Maine. I love outdoor adventures. I love to boat, fish, hike, golf, mountain bike, horseback ride, & ski.
I especially love to breathe in the fresh air of the North Woods of Maine! I can do most all outdoor things I love in this vast playground that surrounds us, at our cabin in Maine.

Why they chose this property

I started vacationing at Moosehead Lake when my children were 1 and 3. We fell in love with the North Woods of Maine! The peace, tranquility, beauty, and the Wildlife.
I knew we wanted a place in this area.
My friend from high school already had a cabin on Ambajejus Lake, and while she was visiting me in July 2003, she showed me lots of pictures, and I fell in love. I found and bought the camp, (as Mainers call the cabins) 2 months later.

What makes this property unique

If you're an outdoor person, this is the place to be.
Swimming is only a few paces from the door.
Boating is phenomenal, as Ambajejus Lake is one of a chain of lakes, which lends to lots of exploring. A boat ride up river has breathtaking views, and comes upon a very secluded lake of its own, and some waterfalls that are great for fly fishing.
Our property is quite unique, as we are near the end of a peninsula, and we own frontage on both sides of it. The front, which faces the mountains, and since we sometimes have 2-3 ft waves, makes the back cove perfect for keeping a boat, or just hanging out .
Fishing right off the back dock in the cove, or on the front rock.
Baxter State park is only 10 miles away, as is White water rafting. The hikes in Baxter are many, short or long, flat or steep, all are amazing.
Mountain biking galore. Our fire roads around the lake make for some great biking.
Campfires on the lake.
Blueberry and raspberry picking in July and August.
On a hot summer day, you may see 4 or 5 boats, not the hundreds you navigate around at Lake Winnapisaukee.
