Beautiful lake home. sunrise coming up from the lake on 14x30 deck with gas grill, walkout patio and watch the sunset on the furnished front porch. 100ft. from the house there's 85 ft. of sandy beach with a fire pit, a 40 ft. dock which you can swim and fish off. Access to boat lift, 2 Paddle boats, 12 ft roll boat. Nearby park with free disc golf course, sand volleyball, boat access and also nearby signature golf course and biking and snowmobile trails.

Fun family weekend

Perfect location for a short lakeside getaway.Wasn't a "luxurious" home as stated but had all the furnishings, linens...that we needed.A/C wouldn't go below 75 so it was a little uncomfortable sleeping.Luckily there was a ceiling fan in most rooms.

Wonderful place to stay for a family.

Beautiful home and lots of space to spread out including a game room. Gentle sloping yard to a sand beach. We had a great time. We had kids ranging from 1 1/2 to 7.

Great Lake House

Beautiful home away from home!

We had the most wonderful time here! Such a relaxing, beautiful home!! We have stayed here twice, both times in the Spring of the year, so we didn't get to enjoy the water... but next time for sure!! A great place for a girls weekend or family time!! Would recommend 100 times over! Great place & Great People!

Our family Christmas

We had a wonderful family Christmas together at this property. Plenty of room for everyone. Ice fishing, sledding , building snowmen, the kids had a lot of fun.

Great getaway

Plenty of room for 8 of us girls to have a great getaway! Lots of room, so many accommodations. We loved every moment of it! The game room was a hit!! The view of the lake was wonderful from almost every room. Will definetely be staying here again.

Great family lake week

Great place to stay. Lots of room for our family to spread out. Really enjoyed the lake but sadly didn't find time to play in the playroom. Pool, air hockey, foosball table. Well equipped for all our needs. Thanks for the great memories!

All four couples loved our 3 day week-end at your beautiful lake home! There were many areas to enjoy, but we loved the deck & lake views the most, and having the kitchen/dining adjacent to it made entertaining easy. Thank you so much for sharing your home w/us. We hope to return again!

We had our annual cousins trip at this property.

There was plenty of room for our large group (12). Everyone had a place to sleep and a place to find piece and quiet during the day for down time. There was plenty of things for kids and adults a like to do. The kids enjoyed the lake and paddle boats while the adults enjoyed hanging out on the shore watching them play. We are hoping to book at the property again next year since we enjoyed the property so much!

Lovely lake home

We loved the game room, and the kitchen was nice and big and open. Amazing views with being able to see the sunrise over the lake and then the sunset over the corn fields. Caught some fish right off the dock- sunnies, small mouth bass, and northerns. Great firepit and fun paddle boats. Looking forward to hopefully staying again in the future- next time for a full week!

Family time

The house was beautiful and the owners (David & Judy and dog "Brandy") we very gracious. We met them when we arrived and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.The house was spacious and had everything we would ever need. The view of the lake was wonderful. Our group of 6 adults and 4 children was a perfect size group to enjoy the home without feeling crowded. Top notch service and quality accommodations. Thank you David & Judy.

Unknown pet fee

Our family stayed here for a last-minute trip. Room for 3 families with kiddos. It was a beautiful property but unfortunately, we had an unnecessary confrontation with the owner. Despite being pet friendly there was an unexpected cash fee we had to pay ($100/dog) that was not listed on VRBO or in any corresponding emails. He was adamant he would not leave till he received this money. The whirlpool tub did not work. The flies were horrible due to screens that didn't shut very well. Bring your own laundry detergent as it is not provided. The thermostat is locked and can't be adjusted.

Best Week Ever!

The property was perfect for our needs with plenty of space for everyone. The only negatives were things outside of the owners control. The extreme lack of rain in the area had left the yard leading down to the lake baked to a crisp so not much fun to walk on. The lake was down considerably so the beach area was quite weedy but we solved that by going out on the boat and anchoring in 20 feet of water allowing us to swim and float around. Again things only Mother Nature has control over. Fishing was good and the public beach was very nice and just a quick boat ride away. All in all a great propery and we will certainly keep it on our list for a return visit.

Poor customer service

Poor service started the day before our scheduled arrival we had not recieved arrival information contacted the owners no response until 3 hours prior to the day of check in The inside was great enough rooms and nice game room The posting listed 2 paddle boats but there was only one, only 2 life jackets, only 2 lawn chairs we were a family of 8 Great deck right off the kitchen but no dining table(s) would have been great to have breakfast there Lower level patio was nice with table but only 4 large patio chairs it was hard for us to all sit together wish they had some outside stacking chairs Most disappointing we ran out of gas for the grill contacted the owner 2 hour later recieved the response below Hi just go to Walmart and exchange it that's what are guests usually do,thanks I didn’t realize we would need to provide the gas for the grill Overall for the cost this is only a 3 star location

Beautiful but..

First of all I want to say this is a beautiful property and we had a great time. We spent the weekend with friends and our kids. The kids loved the water, and there was a fun game room that was a big hit!! That is really what matters but there was just a few things that really struck us as odd or even unprofessional. I had to contact the owner the day before we were set to arrive to ask for check in instructions. He responded that we would meet at 4 and he would walk us around the property. We were unable to be there by 4, so he was not available to meet us. He left the doors open, which was fine. The day we arrived it was well over 90 degrees. The thermostat is locked at 75. The air was not on when we arrived, and we had to cool it down from 78 with 3 toddlers who needed to go to bed. It was uncomfortably warm. I asked if we could adjust the thermostat and explained the air hadn’t been turned on and never got a response. The next day we found some ants in the kitchen and dining room. A few ants is what it is, but I alerted the owner to the problem. He responded that he would be by to check it out. We never saw or heard from him. It is possible that he came while we were swimming, but never followed up. One of the cabinets in the living room broke on the frame, not the hinge, simply by opening it. I think this may have been previously cracked and glued back based on the way it cracked.I texted him immediately to let him know and apologize. I never got a response or heard back from him the rest of the trip. The cabin was very clean besides the ants and it was a beautiful view. It’s just disheartening when you spend a substantial amount of money and there is such poor communication.

60th Birthday Celebration

Six women in our family came together to celebrate my youngest sister’s big 60! We all fell in love with the home and the lake view immediately! We enjoyed chatting on the decks, walking, shopping in Alexandria and visiting Carlo’s Creek Winery! We are making plans to return to the property next year. Thank you David for opening your home.

Family Vacation

We had a great week at the lake house spending time with family. The house has a great layout and plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the lake and loved hanging out in the game room at night. There were a ton of flies, no fault of the homeowner or anything they can control, but just something to be aware of and prepared for. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks to David and his wife for the great welcome and letting us stay in your home!

Perfect for families with kids!

The house has an an amazing space outside along the lake, the water was clear and sub it’s were abundant to catch right off the dock. The home was organized and well put together. We had issues with the whirlpool tub not working and the outdoor chairs need some updating due to wear and tear. We really enjoyed our time and would go back!
