Apartment In Historic House Sleeps 4 in two separate bedrooms. Large bathbub.
Why sally obrien chose Northwest Washington
We are within easy walking distance to the Mall, the White House, and the Lincoln Memorial. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. You don't need a car in Foggy Bottom so we advise guests to leave their car at a suburban Metro station or if you have a car, to park in one of the nearby commercial lots
What makes this House unique
This is a rare two-bedroom apartment in historic house. The apartment has security features and is on a safe street. The front door of the apartment is protected with two doors with deadbolt locks. The Vista apartment is only an 8 minute walk to DC's only kosher restaurant.

Apartment was clean and ready when we got there. Very easy to get into and only 2 blocks from the train. We will most definitely rent the apartment in the future.
Amazing location; large, comfortable space
The location can't be beat-metro, restaurants, Whole Foods is just up the street. Close enough to walk to Lincoln Memorial. Large space was comfortable for my family of 4.
My only complaint: it really needs a thorough cleaning (especially bathroom floor) and straightening up--the place has random stuff leftover from past visitors, and the kitchen cupboards are a mess.
Our stay in Foggy Bottom, DC
Sally's place on 24th St. NW in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, DC was a great place to stay when we took our grandchildren for their spring vacation. Not only did we enjoy having the space, the living room, and the kitchen, we were close to everything we wanted to see. Since it was cold, we "ubered" most everywhere we went, but had it been warmer (and perhaps if one of our grandchildren hadn't just turned 5) we might have walked more. Sally left a note about the grocery store (Whole Foods and only 2 blocks away). She also left metro cards that we could have used if we'd taken the metro. (We didn't; with 4 of us, the uber was about the same price and lots easier with less walking outdoors.) The place was clean and well equipped. We all loved our beds! Very comfortable, and having TV's that also had Netflix was a big hit, especially with the grandchildren. The one thing I'd improve would be the floor. It was a hardwood floor, and with some cleaning and polish, it would have vastly improved the look of the apartment. Other than that, we were happy campers! Thanks, Sally! p.s. Sally also provided a place for us to leave our luggage before our 8pm flight on the last day. This was a huge help and actually gave us another full day to see the city.
Excellent place to stay!
A charming and affordable 2 bedroom flat with a well equipped kitchen and lots of sunshine. The washer and dryer was very handy. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s a short walk away. Could easily walk to White House or catch train at Foggy Bottom Metro. We were able to check in early which made monument visiting easy that afternoon. I would stay here again!
Quiet and relaxing
We live in a very rural area and I was concerned about city noise, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was inside.
Super easy access to the metro.
All the kitchen items for easy quick meals were available.
T.v. is so BIG I thought I was at the super bowl watching it.
We really enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion is to have availability of a baby gate for the stairs, that was a bit scary with a little one.
The owner act much like a host; the apartment is spacious. Its location is spectacular-- in Foggy Bottom, close to many offices and agencies, very close to a metro stop and to grocery stores. Kitchen is well provisioned. I have stayed in this owner's properties several times-- and for good reasons (see above).
We are an 8 minute walk to Washington Circle and a 15 minute walk to the White House
