No fireworks or firearms can be shot off on the property. If firework or firearm debris is left behind after your stay, you will incur a fine.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Great place to get away
We loved this little cabin. Rooms upstairs were a little warm but we had a great short stay. Plenty if towels etc. We will be back 😁💗

Great location just outside Wimberley. Beautiful property and private. The place was not cleaned well and we could smell the septic system almost the whole time. Also encountered a few scorpions. The cabin is well laid out and cozy but not sure if I’d return. Maybe if they fix the issue with the septic tank and give it a thorough cleaning
I am so sorry you felt the cleaning was not satisfactory. Our cleaning staff works hard to keep this place looking and feeling clean for guests and I am truly sorry if there was something they missed before your stay. If you could let me know any specifics about the cleaning you found undesirable please let me know so they can be addressed with the cleaning staff. I wish you would have contacted me during your stay to let me know you felt this way because I would have been happy to send a cleaning person up there right away to address any issues so that you could continue enjoying the rest of your stay. As far as the scorpions, you are absolutely correct we do have scorpions in our area. In fact, there is a line in our terms and conditions that you agree to prior to your stay that alerts you about them so there are no surprises if you see one. We have regular pest control service set up and most of the time guests do not encounter any. But depending on the time of year and/or weather, they can come out and make an appearance from time to time. There are many great aspects of the hill country like the views, the deer, and peace and quiet. However those perks also come with less desirable aspects like bugs you might not see in the city. I have not heard any one mention a septic smell and I myself cannot smell it but we can definitely call someone out to double check that, thank you for making me aware. We hope you will still consider returning to our place again in the future.
Property was nice but needs a deep cleaning. Two bath cloths for entire home. No salt and pepper. In a beautiful location but needs some tlc. Biggest issue was booking process. The only time we were contacted was when we made contact. Sent several emails after reserving, no response. Several calls, no return call or mailbox was full. The only time we were contacted was after we contacted customer service through VRBO. Paid a pet deposit and plans changed so dogs did not come. Requested a refund and no response. Even if the answer was no at least respond!! Instructions state you will receive an email with instructions to enter property by noon on the day of the stay. While driving 6 hours we hadn’t received the email by 12:30pm. We called and left a message, no response. Had to call VRBO again and amazingly 15 minutes later we get the email. Still no return phone call, text or email. House is okay and we had a great time despite the lack of communication or as one in our party stated...the rudeness of not returning a call or single email without having to contact customer service. We will never stay here again simply because of this. The property manager apparently doesn’t understand that when you are traveling you want confirmation that the house is ready, reservation is good and instructions to enter property are sent in a timely manner.
I am very sorry you felt your stay was less than satisfactory but I have to admit I am VERY surprised to read your feedback. If you look on our Homeaway conversation thread, you have only ever sent 1 message through that platform, and it was when you initiated the reservation. I sent you a confirmation email through the Homeaway platform as well as from my direct email address that had a PDF page attached with the address, directions, and gate/door codes needed. At 12:24pm on May 24th you sent me and email that said, "Just wanted to check and make sure we are good to go June 1-3. Looking forward to a great stay at White Wings!!". I responded at 1:09 pm on the same day and said, "Yes everything with your reservation is confirmed and good to go : )". You responded back at 1:27 pm stating, "Okay thank you! I understand check in time is 4pm. Is there any way we can do an early check in? We were going to go see some sites before then but don’t want to have the leave the dogs in the car. If not that’s fine but we could even pay some extra if need be." And I replied at 1:44pm stating, "An early check-in should not be a problem. Will 2:00 work for you?" Then on May 26th (which is a Sunday and the day I carve out for family, so unless its an emergency I respond the following day - Monday) you sent me an email stating, "Our friends that we’re going to be bringing the two small dogs have found a sitter for them. The dogs will not be joining us. Just wanted to let you know and ask if it is possible for a refund on the pet fee? If not we will consider that our early check in fee, even though we really don’t need it now." Unfortunately our terms and conditions state, "You are welcomed to add additional guests, pets, and additional nights to your stay at any time including upon arrival. However once the final payment is collected (30 days before your arrival date) you will not be able to decrease the amount of guests, pets, or length of stay." But we did allow you to keep the 2:00 check-in without any extra fees (like you suggested in your email) so as far as I thought, you were completely fine with that arrangement. With that being said, I am confused about the mention of poor communication and the mention of being upset about the pet fee not being refunded. As far as the condition of the property I am also surprised at your feedback because the property was clean and in fact we actually had the carpets upstairs shampooed just before your arrival. Unfortunately I was not aware that some of the wash cloths had walked off and I appreciate that feedback, I will be taking some new ones up there today. I really hope you will reconsider your review. We try really hard to make sure all of our guests have a 5 star experience and I am truly sorry if you felt you did not receive that despite our best efforts.
Cute cabin in a hideaway location
We enjoyed a couple’s weekend at this log cabin away from town. The place was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub, in the evening after the rains let up. The entry to the house was fine with keyless entry HOWEVER we were not given the entry code to the gate, which meant we had to wait for property manager to call us.
I am so glad to hear you enjoyed the property and the keyless entry. In regards to your disappointment about the gate code, I sent you a confirmation email when you booked this reservation on April 24th at 11:52am that had the address, gate code, and door code attached to it. To obtain the address and the door code you would have had to get those both from the same document that listed the gate code on it as well. I called you right back when I got the message that you didn't have it upon arrival and provided it to you right away. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding regarding the check-in process but I am a little surprised to hear that it hindered your overall experience especially since it was resolved very easily. We will take this feedback of our arrival process into consideration and continue to find ways to improve our check-in instructions for guests and we do appreciate your review.
Lovely private getaway in Wimberley
The home was comfy and had all the amenities you would need for a family/friends getaway. We spent hours in the hot tub and sitting on the porch looking at the wonderful view. We will definitely return!
