Great location. Close to everything we wanted to do
Beautiful home on Harbor Island, great views from all sides of glass doors, lots of light.
Beautiful updated modern home, with lots of glass & wonderful light. Sunrise & sunsets, fog, all of nature’s views are constant. Location is top of Harbor Island Circle, sweet neighborhood & friendly locals. The best of Rhode Island beaches & restaurants close by. Summer festivals & music enjoyed by all.
First time in RI
It was my first week stay in RI. The area was nice. Close to many
things. The kids loved the house. I would definitely consider going again.
We had such a nice time at this residence. It was open, airy, spacious and had everything you could need.
The kitchen and open living room were so inviting and extremely relaxing to hang out, read and enjoy a breeze.
It was just 2 of us so we didn't use the downstairs much, but there were games, dvds, and a very large downstairs bedroom which could be used for a kids playroom. For those couples who want to get a place without tripping over each other, or your kids, this place would fit the bill nicely!
We will definitely be returning and were so sad to have to leave.
Great vacation house for large family!
In its prime the house & grounds were spectacular! The house is now going through a renovation. The interior is newly painted and the kitchen area has all new furniture, new cabinets & top of the line appliances. The rest of the house is somewhat spartan and could use a few more end tables, lamps and window curtains. There are two large flat screen TV's, but only one is hooked up to cable. Both have a DVR attached and there are a myriad of DVR disks for both adults & children. The only rooms that are air conditioned are the two main bedrooms
Very nice property, plenty of space & great kitchen
We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen has been redone and is great. There is a nice outdoor grill and patio downstairs. Also has a nice washer/dryer if you are traveling and need to do laundry. The price was a great value and the owner processed our security refund promptly. Very quaint neighborhood with water views if you take a walk.
IN RHODE ISLAND, THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO!
Minutes to eight of Rhode Island's premier beaches. The fabulous Newport mansions nearby. The historic Point Judith Lighthouse is only 5.5 miles away. Take the Block Island Ferry (5.4 miles) to visit the historic and quaint island community. Or, make a day trip to Martha's Vineyard on the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry from North Kingston (19 miles). See blockislandferry.com or vineyardfastferry.com for rates and schedule.
Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean from the upper deck or from the dinner room of the Coast Guard House (3.1 miles). Or perhaps you prefer a little seaside shack for clams, oysters, lobsters, or other seafood: try Monahan's Clam Shack (2.5 miles), Iggy's Doughboys (4.6 miles), or Aunt Carrie's (4.6 miles, great food and across the street they serve delicious ice cream!). Also, the fabulous and diverse restaurants of Providence are an easy 40 minute drive.
If museums are your thing, the Museum of Primitive Art and Culture in Wakefield is only 4.7 miles away. Founding in 1892, the museum houses more than 15,000 archaeological and ethnological objects from around the world. If you visit Newport, you may decide to stop at the National Museum of American Illustration: Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Jessie Wilcox Smith highlight a vast collection of artwork that "manifests how Americans view themselves; it is both social and cultural history pictured." The wonderful and wide ranging collection of the Rhode Island School of Design is 45 minutes away in Providence and the world-class museums of Boston are a mere 90 minutes.
