Charming, private, six bedroom, three bath, lake house with dockspace, a paddle boat etc. Situated on three lots with more than 500' lake frontage and access to beach fifty yards away. The best part is the enormous wrap around porch overlooking the lake, with mountains in the distance. One hour from Mount Washington, and only one and a half hours to Boston. Just across the lake from Laconia. Nearby there's hiking, golf, shopping, but we bet you'll spend your time on the porch

Great location!
100 percent recommend staying here! 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are perfect. We wanted space and we got exactly that. The screened in porch was great as well! We rented a boat and the dock was excellent. Ruth was fantastic with responding prior to the stay and I had two questions during. They were answered very quickly. 5/5 stars!

Lakefront property--amazing view
It was wonderful for our group to be right on the water. The deck over the water was phenomenal. We enjoyed lots of time as a family there with a beautiful view. The lake was quiet with little activity--just what we were looking for. There were lots of bedrooms for everyone to have their own space and lots of places inside and out where we could all gather. Walking to the beach in just minutes was a huge perk, but having the ability to swim off the dock was also wonderful for our group. The house was rustic-- furniture, carpeting, and porch cushions/pillows could use some updating. Kitchen was very well-stocked with pots and pans and utensils. We were all able to park our cars at the house with the two driveways. That was extremely helpful.

Third year in a row staying here
It works out great for our family. The owner also pays for a pass to the very close Association so we can have a sandy beach, swings, and place for wiffle ball.

Laconia Bike Week
We loved our stay and the house! It was nice to relax on the screened-in porch after a long days of riding with some peace & quiet, but close enough to everything for bike week. Ruth was a great host! It was the first time I actually had someone call me beforehand to verify and give me details about the property.

very peaceful
this was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken. The porch is beautiful as the view is peaceful. the neighbors are not close which is great and being right on the water was amazing. large property. Able to see the sunrise and the moon rise (we had the harvest moon which was beyond spectacular to see over the water. ) Ruth the host was very nice to work with.

We've had this property in the family for more than sixty years, and have enjoyed it every summer since then.

A Short Story of the Camp
The camp was built in 1929 by two brothers from Massachusetts who built it as a duplex, to be shared by the two families, as a summer getaway.

Out father, W. John Baskin, became interested in Lake Winnisquam probably in the early 1940’s when his good friend, Bob Porter, told him of the great salmon fishing in Lake Winnisquam. Bob learned of the great fishing from a friend at work, Pete Chesley. Pete had a camp at the lake for years, initially accessing it by ferry from the Winnisquam Bridge area, where he parked his car. Bob was invited to Pete’s camp for fishing. The fishing trip was so successful that he told our father about it. Soon after our father experienced the fishing for himself.

This led to the prospect of having more access to the lake. In 1945 our family rented the camp directly across the street from our garage. I believe it was rented for a month that summer. Our father noticed that this camp was closed up and sat unused during that time. He decided to explore the ownership of this camp to see if there might be interest in selling. He was surprised to learn that the two brothers ran a clothing store in Lexington, the town in which we lived in Massachusetts. Our father asked if they would consider selling the camp. Both brothers’ families had grown up and didn’t use the camp much, so they agreed to sell. Before signing the deal, our father asked all our relatives and friends if they would use the camp. He said, “If you will come, I will buy it.” Obviously, there was a resounding “YES!” In 1945 the camp was purchased and the boathouse was added in 1954.
