Could be a great home
When booked using the pictures we thought we were getting a great home, pool & spa & a BBQ (all most haves).
The Villa was in a really nice area, the house looked good and was clean (we had seen some reports of issues and was worried). Pool & SPA were fantastic but the BBQ didn't exist and had to rent one for $40... If we had seen the previous comments we wouldn't have booked. The beds were noisy and the bed linen and towels could do with being updated. Under the beds and sofa could do with a clean. This could be a great villa for families but seems no Interest.. Hope owner reads and doesn't ignore as said already this could be a great place.
The house need some work
The house was nice but it had an old odor we had to go buy candles to put all over the house The towels was not clean I had to go buy washing powder to wash the towels it was spider webs as if no one had stayed there in a while. The master bedroom the bed squeaked whenever you moved.
Our family planned a short get away for Easter. We thought Orlando would be nice since we would be able to spend time with my husband's son. When our reservation were made I used my prior last name since that is what is still on my credit card. I sent in my photo ID and the reservation staff said I could not use this ID because my last name was different. The billing address on the card and ID were the same. After explaining to them I was recently married they finally let me email them a letter stating I was one in the same person. Then after arriving at the airport for our departure we find out there is a ground stoppage at Orlando International Airport, our flight was canceled. We were unable to get another flight until the day of our return. I called and asked for a refund of any kind and was rudely told No. Needless to say I will not be renting from American Sunshine Rentals again. I understand the policy but the attitude and inability to be kind is unacceptable.
Do not rent from here - place is disgusting
This house was gross and wasn’t cleaned in a very long time. When we walked in there were crumbs in the sink, counter, and floors. The sheets weren’t changed from the last guests because there was still sand in between the sheets when we got into bed. When we thought we would sleep on the covers since the sheets were dirty we pulled a blanket from the closet and it was covered in human feces. There was also 2 different incidents with cockroaches. I have submitted pictures and video to VRBO/homeaway when I filed a complaint. When I complained to the property manager, their only offer was to switch us to another rental in the middle of our vacation so we would have to repack up 3 kids, 4 adults, and a pantry and fridge which was not reasonable for us as we had tickets to the park the day they wanted us to move and wouldn’t be able to come back to switch rentals at 4pm when it was available. Not only was the place filthy, the management invaded our privacy when they came inside the rental without our notice while we were gone only to collect the blanket covered in feces. They did nothing to clean the place. The beds were old, we had to buy all our cooking utensils because we didn’t trust anything in the house was sanitary. The beds were awful, hard, old, dirty. The floors underneath the bed were covered in dirt and trash was left under the bed so it’s apparent no one had bothered to sweep or mop underneath the bed. The showers were equally gross. There was black mold in two of the showers. It was apparent no one had cleaned. The door handles and light switches were sticky. The walls were stained. The management, Debbie Keslar, dropped by on the 2nd day into our trip and took pictures of all the issues and saw for herself how nasty the rental was.
Great home and location. Pool was amazing. Only improvements needed are upgraded appliances, bedroom fans, and more toiletries furnished for bathrooms.
Unclean and poor management
Do not stay here!!!! Beds were old and really worn in and the sheets and bed coverings were not washed before we arrived. When I woke up late at night I found roaches crawling around the kitchen.There was a smell throughout the house. Appliances were old and needed updating. They made us get insurance on the house even though we were told by email that our balance was paid in full which would cover accidental incidents. A month after our stay which we were only there at night I get a charge on my credit card . I called to question and was told there was damage to the inside glass of the stove and only because I called I got a bogus picture of the glass only of a stove that was cracked which could be any stove with a typed up invoice they called a receipt! We didn’t even use the stove while we were there? Then I asked about the insurance they made us purchase, and the property manager exclaimed to me that if we broke something it had to be reported within 24 hours of our stay. Does this make sense to anyone? If I broke something and had insurance why wouldn’t I report it? Why was my credit card charged without being informed and a month later to boot and only after I called to inquire?The answer being that they are cheating good people!! Please read all of this because I don’t want anyone else cheated by these owners! To top it all off their rental license was really expired.
