Lovely house and an enjoyable stay
This is a nice house (with a great pool) for families. There was plenty of space for everyone. It was clean and comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for in our Spring Break vacation. I love the Cape Coral area as well.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Grey! The home is very well maintained, clean, has everything you need (mostly) and we loved the location. Some of the con's: grill cleaning fee of $50, they charge you for electricity after a certain amount (our total was an additional $25), not enough toilet paper, dishwasher tabs or garbage bags (we purchased and left the remaining).
The pro's: hot tub, pool and pool table, ON THE WATER! Need I say more? We enjoyed the kayak and fishing, and beautiful sunsets. The entire house opens up to the screened in pool area which is huge. We didn't want to leave! If you're looking for a beach, you do have to drive to Ft Myers, that was a bummer, but honestly we did love the low-key location. The beds are very comfortable, the bedding nice, kitchen was well stocked. There aren't any pool towels, we brought our own. There were a few beach chairs in the garage that we didn't use, but some sand toys, and a few pool noodles. We left the two rafts for the pool that we purchased as well. Would 100% stay here again!
Villa near perfect but .........
Stunning villa, everything top quality and spotless. The only minus was the extra electricity charge, there were only 4 of us, we ate out every day therefore only used the cooker once to grill bacon and the washing machine and dryer twice, once was for the towels before we left. We kept the doors closed to assist with air con and used very little lighting yet still had an extra charge of round $80 for one week. Guests using the villa to its full capacity could be in for a shock on check out. Otherwise the villa itself was perfect, lovely comfy beds and we found the bikes really useful for cycling to the yacht club. The well kept pool was I think part salt water and very nice to swim in, gentle on the skin and eyes with no stinging chlorine.
Cape Coral is ideal for experienced boaters, with easy access to the nearby islands but generally we all felt a lack of friendliness and not really welcome compared to the other parts of Florida's gulf coast we've visited in the past and for that reason we would favour other areas a little further north in future.
All in all, a little dissapoined with Cape Coral but still in love with Florida. 😃
Outstanding Property with a great location
We stayed at "The Grey" for 10 days. This is a well kept upper scale property that has lots to offer. We are avid boaters and found that it only took us 10 minutes to get out of the "no wake" zone. From a boating standpoint, this is great central location. The shoreline had an attached 10,000 lb. boat lift which we used. Upon entering the house, the open concept was very welcoming. Our favorite feature of the house was the sliding glass partitions that opened up to the lanai and pool area. This provided a vast living space when opened. The temps were in the mid 80's and we received a nice breeze from the west. We rarely used the AC. The kitchen is nicely stocked with high quality china and silverware. There was plenty of room in the kitchen when preparing meals. Two master bedrooms on opposing ends of the house assured privacy. The west exposure allowed for great sunshine for the majority of the day. The pool and hot tub were well kept and used everyday. The pool and hot tub have covers on them which helps save heating costs. There was an extra drier in the garage in which we used to dry towels. We enjoyed morning bike rides almost daily on the supplied bikes. The neighborhood was very quiet. The location of the house was within 5 minutes of Publix, West Marine and a hardware store. Nadja and Caprice, the property managers, were responsive and good communicators. Check in and check out went well. We loved the property so much that we booked it for next year.
This is a beautiful home with a spacious great room and high ceilings!
The kitchen is well stocked with top quality appliances, dishes etc.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable.
All of the showers are walk ins with nice tile.
The pool and deck area is large with a good amount of comfortable furniture.
There are 4 bikes, a double kayak, beach chairs and umbrellas, and pool toys.
We loved our stay here in Cape Coral!
The property is amazing. Makes you want to move in.
My husband and I have been visiting Cape Coral for 5 years and absolutely love it and wanted the family to experience it as well. We decided home away was the way to go in October after I had had surgery and was so impressed at what you could rent compared to what staying in a hotel would be. Loved the house on Congo Ct. I didn't want to leave. Home away from home and enjoyed the time we had as a family.
