The cottage was very comfortable and cozy. Would like to stay sometime when the weather is warm and dry to enjoy sitting alongside the creek. Master bed is comfortable. Guest bed is a bit hard. Property just needs a gas bbq.
Quiet Sonamo Get Away
This is a beautiful home, completely up-dated, clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen is lovely with all the basics for cooking (lots of dishes, pots, pans and seasonings, etc.) The hot tub on the deck was amazing! Perfect for those 50 degree evening! The house is on a very quiet, private road with very little traffic. Sugarloaf Mt. hiking is just down the road - beautiful hike.
A great stay
The house was perfect! A great location, beautiful kitchen, fun patio and hot tub and more! The bedrooms were comfortable and we had everything we needed. To icing on the cake was the excellent communication! A beautiful stay!
Great short get away
Property was just as advertised - very clean and comfortable for two couples - very quiet and secluded location but near wineries and any needed items - power went out in CA last night and our complaint is that the owners weren't thinking about it apparently - a recent note in the guest book indicated the power was out a week or so earlier and you would think that some candles and flashlights would have been immediately put on the property - we found one candle for out lighting and that was it - fortunately for us the neighbors in another rental down the street had a generator so they needed no supplies and we were able to borrow several flashlights and candles from them to get by - hopefully the owners take notice and add some extra supplies for a possible blackout which could happen at any time as we have seen in the past few months - other than that we had a great time and would go back again
Great property management
We arrived in the midst of the PG&E blackout. The property manager and the owner made alternative arrangements for us before we reached the house. We were in constant contact with them for the two days of the outage. The were fantastic to work with. Only down side of the house is no cell service, but it is vacation! And there is a land line in the house.
We were on a three week road trip and this was a great mid-way stop. The home is close to many wineries and restaurants, has all you need in the kitchen, was very clean, and ample parking. Would definitely return!
There are ten wineries in a two mile radius of this lovely wine country cottage. It is one mile to Landmark Winery and Kaz Winery. Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is a mere 1.5 miles from the house, and there you will find 25 miles of hiking trails and stunning views from the 2,729 foot summit. Also at the park is an observatory with shows and events .Adjacent to the property is a trail to Hood Mountain Regional Park where you can hike and explore forests and wildlife. For a fun, interactive lesson in California history, drive 13 miles to historic Sonoma, the site of the 1846 Bear Flag Revolt. While there, visit the Mission San Francisco de Solano where you will see rooms and costumes recreated from its 1830's heyday. At the Sonoma Plaza, enjoy fine dining and shopping. it is a short drive (7 miles) to Jack London State Historic Park , where you can see the ruins of Jack London's famous Wolf House and explore the museum. If you enjoy pampering, visit the spa at the Kenwood Inn and have a vinotherapy wrap, or a facial or massage. For the more adventurous, a 3.5 mile drive takes you to horseback riding at Triple Creek Horse Outfit . Or drive 20 minutes to Kenwood Hot Air Balloons and view the wine country from the air . There is something for everyone!
