Moonridge Lodge – The Ultimate Work and Play Retreat

Moonridge Lodge – The Ultimate Work and Play Retreat
Tucked away in the heart of Valley County, Moonridge Lodge is a cozy and private escape designed for adventure seekers and relaxation lovers alike. Surrounded by towering pines and set on an oversized lot, this charming retreat offers the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience, just five minutes from McCall. Whether you're here to explore the great outdoors or simply unwind by the fire, this home provides the ideal backdrop for a memorable getaway.
From the moment you arrive, you'll feel the warmth and comfort of a true mountain retreat. The spacious pull-through driveway and ample trailer parking make it easy for guests to bring along snowmobiles, boats, or extra vehicles, making this home a perfect year-round basecamp. The three-car garage, with two separate garage doors, offers plenty of secure storage for all your gear.
Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a welcoming, cabin-like atmosphere with natural wood accents, cozy furnishings, and soft lighting that instantly sets a relaxing mood. The inviting living room features a wood-burning stove and a gas fireplace, perfect for curling up after a long day on the trails. Large windows frame the serene wooded views, letting in natural light while keeping the space warm and intimate.
With four well-appointed bedrooms, everyone in your group will have their own comfortable space. The main-level master suite features a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a walk-in closet for added privacy. Downstairs, a cozy bunk room and office create a great space for kids or extra guests. Upstairs, two queen bedrooms share a full bath and a lofted desk area with dual monitors—ideal for remote workers who want to extend their stay while staying connected.
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for home-cooked meals, featuring modern appliances, ample counter space, and all the essentials for preparing a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure. Enjoy meals together at the dining table or step outside to the back porch, where you can fire up the BBQ grill and dine under the stars.
For those who love the outdoors, Moonridge Lodge offers unparalleled access to adventure. In the winter, ski right out the back of the property onto the Nordic ski trails, or take advantage of the nearby snowmobile routes. In the summer, the Rails to Trails path transforms into a scenic walking and biking route, leading to picturesque river views and endless exploration. The neighborhood even offers direct access to the river, perfect for an afternoon paddle or a peaceful stroll.
While this home does not have air conditioning, the cool mountain air naturally keeps the space comfortable. Guests can open the windows at night to enjoy the refreshing breeze, and fans are provided for added comfort during warmer months.
Winter travelers should be prepared for snow accumulation, as it is common in the area. Snow removal is provided, but we highly recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles for easy access in snowy conditions. Please note that we are not responsible for vehicles that become stuck, so plan accordingly and bring the necessary winter gear.
Guest rental agreement, security deposit, and ID verification are required before arrival. Guests must complete a rental agreement outlining house rules, policies, and terms of stay. A security deposit or a damage waiver is required before check-in. The damage waiver is available for $50 and provides additional protection for both you and us in case of accidental damages, ensuring a stress-free stay. Please inquire for more details. Arrival instructions will be sent once all requirements are met.
Whether you're looking for an adventure-packed trip, a peaceful retreat, or a mix of both, Moonridge Lodge is the perfect place to call home. Wake up to crisp mountain air, spend your days exploring the trails, and unwind in a cozy, welcoming space built for both work and play.

Hello! I’m Virginia, a dedicated property manager with a passion for creating memorable and welcoming guest experiences. Originally from Louisiana, I’ve always loved the warmth of hospitality and now bring that same sense of comfort to the beautiful mountains of Idaho. After moving to McCall, I’ve found joy in sharing the serene beauty of this area with guests from near and far.

As a hands-on host, I’m here to ensure your stay is seamless. I’m always just a message away if you need recommendations, help with the property, or simply want to chat about what makes this area so special.
My goal is to provide you with a peaceful retreat where you can unwind, explore, and feel right at home.

When I’m not hosting, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, paddle boarding, skiing, and soaking in Idaho’s hot springs. I can’t wait to share my favorite spots with you and help make your stay truly enjoyable. Welcome to your Idaho escape!

Why they chose this property

The house is surrounded by tall pines and a lush canopy that frames the changing seasons beautifully. Quiet mornings and evenings are filled with woodland birdcalls and rustling branches—perfect for coffee on the deck or stargazing beside the fire pit. Inside, warm oak cabinetry, hardwood floors, and an updated kitchen combine functionality with rustic charm. Bonus attic storage and a two-car garage (with generator hookup) make it easy to bring all your seasonal gear.

Enjoy easy HOA access to the Payette River for fishing, floating, and summer paddling. McCall’s iconic Payette Lake sits just a few minutes away, offering boat rentals, swimming, and lakeside relaxation.

The proximity to trails and green spaces is a hallmark of Moonridge and surrounding areas. Hikers, bikers, and cross-country skiers can take advantage of paved pathways and forest routes winding through the valley. Just a short drive away, Brundage Mountain Resort provides mountain biking and hiking in summer, and glorious skiing in winter. Ponderosa State Park offers lakeside camping, golfing, skate park fun, and boat launches—all accessible within 10–15 minutes.

McCall’s downtown, with its boutique shops, cozy cafes, farm‑to‑table restaurants, galleries, and artisan stores, is just a quick 5‑minute drive. Enjoy fresh pastries in the morning, local brews in the evening, and friendly conversations with locals throughout your stay. Seasonal events like the famous Winter Carnival bring even more magic—with parades, ice sculptures, fireworks, and community spirit filling the town once a year.
