Amazing Apartment

This was a new listing so there was some teething issues, but the host was very responsive and actioned them. The apartment is very spacious and immaculate. Each room is temperature controlled which may be helpful in the summer. There was an on-suite and family bathroom - lovely shower - both really clean. The apartment was only 10 minutes walk from Kings cross station and a few minutes walk to Coal drops Yard which has lots of bars and restaurants - but far enough way so as not to hear any noise. The apartment also has out side balconies which also adds to the fantastic space - great for friends and families. I would definitely go back!

Place was very nice - check in was terrible

The apartment is very nice, and location is great: 10/15 min walk from Kings Cross Station and only 5/10 min walk to Coal Drop area (lovely restaurants & shops). The beds are quite small for 2 people but otherwise everything is good. The pictures are different from reality but not to an extent that you would care. Be aware that check in is terrible. We stayed in this apartment the weekend before, so we were prepared (see previous review). We actually had the address from the last weekend, and the correct contact information for the manager. We still had to call him directly an hour before check-in to get the apartment # information for the check-in desk and to find out if we could check in an hour earlier (which we gratefully could). As you will see in the previous review, if this is the first time you are staying with them, you have to call VRBO and get them involved to get the address & check-in information. It was very stressful the first time around. However, despite this, we would stay here again—easily enough room for five adults.

Terrible communication but good apartment

Communication and check-in is terrible. They barely respond in VRBO messaging. VRBO gave us the phone number for the manager who finally responded after I called them and msged them numerous times. They told us we could store our luggage at the apartment 4 hours early but didn't give us the address. Called VRBO again and got the address. We arrived at 12 to store our luggage and were told they don't store luggage. We tried to contact the manager again with zero response. We called VRBO to complain and they said they will try to help. 2 hours later someone else calls us and gives us the check in details (we are now 2 hours from check in). Luckily they also allowed us to check in 2 hours early. It was very stressful and it was only because VRBO got involved that we actually got an address and check-in info for the apartment. We are supposed to receive it 24 hours in advance. BUT we did get to check in 2 hours early at 2pm. The apartment is nice - not the same as the photos but pretty much the same kind of decor and size. The beds are pretty small for 2 adults and not all the rooms have clothing storage so we lived out of the suitcase. Location is great (12 min walk from Kings Cross, and 6 min walk to Coal Drop area which had great restaurants/shops). We stayed again the following weekend with very similar experience regarding check-in. Despite this we would stay here again.
