Elegant, white, federal style home on a grassy hill adjacent to conservation land. Groomed, mature grounds slope gently to your private beach with sparkling views of Rockland harbor and the breakwater.

Weddings: Sorry, we don't allow weddings.

The property includes a barn/boathouse, a pond, and over 350' of water frontage.

Idyllic Maine

Great property in a great location. Central To so many activities. House and surrounding acreage were beautiful. The fire pit and the view and the flocks of Canada geese added To the setting. Could use a small amount of help with furniture placement, but we made it comfy! Nice to have a W/D since our stay was long. Would definitely rebook this property for another Maine visit.

Idyllic Mid Coast Location

We spent six weeks in this beautiful and well-located home in Owls Head. The house is gorgeous, comfortable and well appointed. The grounds are like a dream. We enjoyed sunsets and sunrises over Rockland Harbor, watched storms roll in and out and kept close tabs on the battles between a local bald eagle and osprey. Our first night we were greeted by a majestic red fox streaking the lawn. Steve and Whitney were so easy to communicate with and very attentive. The property manager, Rosie, was also at the ready if we needed anything and a great resource for local knowledge. Owls Head is a really special community. From this house you feel very connected to the entire mid-coast with easy, quick trips into Rockland, Rockport, Camden and Lincolnville. Highly recommend this home if you are planning to soak up some Maine magic.

Gorgeous

Fantastic house with breathtaking views and a fabulous location off the beaten path! The house was perfect for our little party of five; it gave us plenty of room to spread out, both inside and out. We especially enjoyed the quiet and views for days!

About the host

We're a family with two children (a 20 year old boy and a 16 year old girl) that grew up feasting on blackberries that flourish on the property and lobsters collected from clean water off our beach. We also enjoy boating, swimming, and fishing in the Penobscot Bay. Hiking, exploring, and enjoying other local resources rounds out our time in Maine. And although our family has been in Maine for 6 generations we're not yet able to live here full time.
