About Teixeira Rouviere
Hello future guests, Are you excited about coming to Kyoto! We are a French couple, who live between Singapore and Kyoto. We embark on the adventure of renovating these machi-ya in 2014 and 2016 because we love Kyoto and the machi-yas. We would like to share our passion with our guests and make you love Kyoto too. We really want you to have a comfortable stay. We also were tourists staying in machi-ya so we renovated our house so that you are not cold in winter and not too hot in summer, have modern facilities, close to 24-h supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, and eateries but also a kitchenette and proper modern shower and bath, and toilets inside the house. We manage the guesthouses through a Company called Business and Human Development. We hope to see you in Kyoto. Regards Rouviere and Isabelle
Why Teixeira Rouviere chose Nakagyo Ward
From Caryn (USA) The space was everything as promised! The hosts were very responsive and helpful. They had a pack that included very easy directions, how to get into the place (keypad), and things nearby (restaurants, grocery store, etc). The place isn't particularly near any of the sights, but it's not far to get to a metro (~10 min walk) or bus (5-10 minutes per the station) from the location, but for the cost well worth the walking!
What makes this House unique
From Steven (UK) This guest house is perfect for people wanting to experience traditional Japanese living. It is a beautiful place to stay with all modern amenities and is a short walk to public transport. The guest house was spotlessly clean when we arrived and very comfortable. We were given a detailed welcome pack which made finding the place and settling in incredible easy. Hosts were very helpful and nice to us. Overall we had a wonderful time staying here! Thanks again!
