Secluded, semi detached bungalow with beautiful communal pool
About Property Manager
Hi folks, firstly, thanks for your interest and looking us up. I am 58 years old and my partner, Phyl, is 62 years old (she'd murder me if she knew I were making this fact public!) We're both long suffering teachers who have taught for many years in the field of special education. Phyl is head of learning support at a prep school in the independent sector. and I am a maths tutor in the learning support dept at the same school. Our four kids have all finished uni and have fled the nest for pastures new to pursue their own careers. Happily, we planned in advance for this joyous event and invested in properties that will be part of our lives for many years to come. We now own two investment properties, one in northern Sardinia and one at Mijas Golf on the Costa del Sol. Retirement is now looming large for us both and we are looking forward to being able to spend more time in this beautiful location.
Property Manager purchased this Bungalow in 2008
Why Property Manager chose Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola
We had originally planned to buy a property on the mainland (Italy) Quite by chance when looking at a number of properties on an agent's books, he asked whether we had considered Sardinia. I couldn't have told you where Sardinia was before this but a week later we found ourselves on an inspection trip to its' north coast. Everything else is history so they say. We were so impressed with every aspect of the island - the scenery, the culture, the beaches, the friendliness of the locals, the lack of traffic jams and road rage.... I could go on at great length. After viewing a number of properties, we had no hesitation in purchasing at Costa Paradiso. It's not easy to describe so I recommend you simply google Costa Paradiso for images. This will give you a real flavour of this unique resort.
What makes this Bungalow unique
As prospective purchasers, we were shown more than half a dozen properties. Quite honestly, we might have bought every one of them as they all had great features. Nevertheless we had no hesitation in purchasing the property we own. Our first priority was convenience for amenities. You can walk to all facilities - shops, supermarket, restaurant, bars, pool within a minute! Our second priority was privacy. Perhaps I'm becoming less tolerant as I get older but I'll freely admit that I don't enjoy being overlooked by neighbouring properties and I don't like excessive noise from a disco beat when I'm trying to sleep. Our property is tucked away so is not overlooked and we experience very little noise from the village. The only thing missing (yes we like to be honest) is that because of its secluded position, there is no sea view.

Too many things below expectations, moved after 4 nights, paid for 7.
I would rather have written a positive review as the owners seem to be nice but the apartment does not live up to the description.
From our family of four experience the apartment is suitable for maximum four people that travel light and only need an air conditioned place to sleep for a few nights.
The positives first: The location was good, the common pool area and easy access services appreciated. The dialogue with the owner was good.
Then to the negative sides: Internet does not mean wifi, and the hotspots in the pool area and restaurants are poor. We had ants all over the apartment , even in the beds. Secluded outdoor place means that it is tiny and barely seats four people and that there is no view at all unless you look straight up to the sky. The other view options are neighboring walls or a steep bushy hill wall. The washing machine was broken and a pipe in the bathroom was making loud squeaking noises day and night.
Then some irritating things: not enough hangers for towels, a rusty drying hanger risking to stain our clothes, the outdoor table very unstable, broken broomstick, wardrobe sliding doors jamming.
There were simply too many things that was below expectations, so we decided to move after four nights even though we had paid for seven.
I have to disagree with some of the issues. Firstly we have had many families stay at our property over the best part of a decade, none of whom complained about the size of the property or the 'lack of' view from the terrace. Neither have there ever been any negative comments about the size of the terrace. We have never stated that it is a large terrace or that there are views from it. I thought that 'private', 'secluded' and 'not overlooked' would have defined the latter.
We try our best to describe the property accurately. It was never portrayed as a spacious villa which is what, I think, were the expectations here.
Internet. I did explain to our guests that this was a misunderstanding on my part. Although I had ticked the box on the property description to say that internet was provided, I simply meant that there are various hotspots in the village where the internet can be accessed. This was clearly stated on the property description. As for the poor internet signal, this is a general difficulty in Costa Paradiso, I presume because of its location/position. Even business users would concur - our former agent was always complaining about the intermittent and weak signals in the office.
The remaining issues are all management issues and whilst I concede that these irritations should not have occured, we were never made aware of them apart from the washing machine. We notified our agent immediately and an engineer fixed the machine (albeit 72 hours later)
I question why, if these other 'irritants' were so important, (and things which could have been easily addressed by our agent, why we nor our agent were made aware of them.
We received no notification of our guests intentions to move out of our property. We only found out from our agent after the event.
As owners, we need to know if our guests are unhappy and why, so that any issues can be addressed as soon as possible.
Writing a damning review pointing out several minor issues of which we were not made aware and not given the opportunity to put right is, in my opinion, completely unfair.
If you happen to be reading this response, I hope it will give you enough confidence to book your holiday with us.
Unfortunately owners are at the mercy of unjust and emotive reviews such as this and we feel helpless that in many cases, people making property searches will make decisions based on a bad review and not the owner''s response!
These 'irritants' will all be sorted prior to the arrival of our next guests.
This property is a secluded, semi detached bungalow in the self-contained nature reserve of Costa Paradiso offering easy access on foot, to the town centre with its supermarkets, shops, cafe, restaurant and live music bar. During your stay, you will have access to a beautiful private residents' pool. Costa Paradiso's private beach Li Cossi is a 15 min. walk from the marina. Costa Paradiso is situated between Santa Teresa di Gallura and Castelsardo on the north coast of Sardinia, approximately 90 minutes drive from Alghero (Ryanair) and Olbia. The beach is litter free and the water clear and unpolluted. The flora and fauna are spectacular and unique to the area, as are the friendly wild boar! As Costa Paradiso is primarily a holiday village, most shops, cafes and restaurants are open seasonally (June- September). The crystal waters are an attraction for divers and snorkellers and lessons and equipment can be hired at the diving school at the Costa Paradiso marina.
