About this property

Heavenly Haven for Lake Lovers (with private beach access)

Lake Michigan is across the street and a 5 minute walk to our private beach association. The cottage is meant for living in with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and one up. There is also a sleeper sofa. The property has a large wooded yard with lots of nature. The fire pit and large deck are great for outdoor relaxing. Besides a great neighborhood, there is so much to do and so easily accessible! I hope you enjoy our haven as much as we do.

One week rental is required during peak season (summer).

Weekend getaway

My husband and I booked this for a quick weekend away. Good location to lots of winery’s, brewery’s, or restaurants. Close to the water with beach assess although that was hard to find and not great to get to. My only complaint and it’s a big one the shower had long hairs on the shower walls and the bathroom floor had small hairs on the floor also. One place you would like to be clean.

Lovely beach getaway

We had a fantastic stay at the Heavenly Haven in Lakeside. We were in town for a wedding and it was the perfect location. Super quiet and by the beach but also just off Red Arrow Hwy so easy to get around. All the amenities and furnishings were fantastic, with many thoughtful touches throughout the place. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Second time even better!

This was our second time staying at the Cozy Cottage, and we are so grateful. Gretchen is a superb host. We had an issue with the door lock, and she called me as soon as I messaged her. We loved being a bale to walk easily to the beach each day, and come home if a break was needed or lunch time. In the evenings after baths, we would make dinner and s’mores over the fire. The backyard is beautifully lined with trees and it’s so peaceful to listen to them in the breeze. We even saw a few deer. No need to bring towels or chairs as all the beach amenities are there. And we enjoyed no TVs. Thank you so much for another number for stay

Great location, cute cottage

There were 4 of us + an infant, and the cottage was perfect for what we needed. The location cannot be beat: private lake access is a short walk away, and the road in front of the house was frequented by pedestrians walking or biking at all times of day which we loved. A few things that we didn't realize until we got there: there is a second cottage behind the main one pictured which surprised us, but it is vacant so wasn't an issue, no TV in the house (though it says there's one in the listing), and the grill is charcoal not gas. None were dealbreakers, but just a heads up to future guests! Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Girls trip

First day was difficult… We had a tough time finding it. We loved the house. We enjoyed the beach when we were able to find the private beach access. We had great weather!
