A mixed bag
The Good
Location was perfect for us. Only about 10 minutes from all the Falls activities, 25 minutes to the beach and canal museum at St. Catharines and not too far from hiking in Hamilton. Walmart is just a couple minutes away, along with restaurants, gas stations, etc. which was super convenient.
The home provided the space we needed. It is a fairly new building so things were still in pretty good shape, with current décor.
Neighborhood is nice and the location was very quiet.
We appreciated having a grill.
The Bad
Condo was not clean. When we arrived, the floors were very dirty. We swept up piles of dirt from the hard surface floor on the main level (there was no dust pan to be found) and attempted to vacuum the dirty carpet everywhere else, which didn’t go well since the vacuum had almost no suction. Nightstands had a layer of dust on them, dead bugs on window sills, toaster oven had splattered food and crumbs in it, and on and on.
One exception is that the bathrooms were clean.
Couches were all hide-a-beds, which would be nice if you needed that, but they were very uncomfortable to sit on.
There is no cable, satellite or broadcast TV. Only Netflix. That was not a big deal for us, but renters should be aware.
Towels were extremely cheap and thin and no wash clothes were provided. We bought some and left them there.
Upstairs is much hotter than the main floor. Fortunately, there are several fans in the home which helps some.
Yard is unkempt and full of weeds.
