Quiet, Relaxing and Comfortable
We enjoyed our stay at this home which is nice, spatious and secluded away from noise, polution, crowd and the rest.
The house is nicely decorated and very comfy from most aspects. There is plenty of parking outside including a water hose which is handy as cars get very dirty from unpaved roads passed the entry gate and to the house.
In a way this home felt like home away from home.
The nature is wonderful and we encountered deers, horses and donkeys that kids really enjoyed looking at.
I would highly recommend this home to a family of 4 or perhaps 2 couples. The house could sleep perhaps up to 5 people if someone is willing to sleep on the couch which could be acceptable for a night or two purpose.
A few improvements/suggestions from our end:
Upgrade cooking pans.
Remove more food from fridge to make room for guests’ food
Check water pressure throughout and fix aerators in bathroom sinks.
Fix one leaking toilet upstairs.
Enable use of washer/dryer for guests who stay longer.
Revise erroneous instructions for finding property to avoid roaming around through unmarked roads behind entry gate.
Provide vaccum cleaner and cleaning supplies for longer stays. We had to purchase basic floor sweeper to be able to at least clean the floors upstairs so we can walk without shoes or barefoot.
Clean and polish hardwood floors thoroughly, else the socks become completely black/dirty. Hardwood floors seems to be hard to clean.
We had a hard time cooking in the oven as it would not heat up properly and would take a long time to reach higher temperatures.
Sliding doors to each bedroom do not seal out any sound so this could be a privacy issue for couples.
To us it was only an issue with having to be very quiet while kids are sleeping.
Provide instructions for sound system.
Include BBQ for those interested in that option as well.
Overall highly recommended as the nature is beautiful and there are many wonderful spots to visit including lakes, streams, hiking, etc.
We drove to oakhurst for groceries and supplies as it’s a quick drive and there are plenty of stores up there.
