Evolve Vacation Rental

While it served it's purpose (a place to sleep near Stanford campus), this studio was dirty (our feet were black after walking barefoot), smelly (I had to wash my clothes, even those I didn't wear, to get the musty smell off of them), and has weak amenities. Kitchen does not have much in it, the furniture is spare and uncomfortable, and there are weird things like exposed water heater, random cords hanging down from lights that can't plug in anywhere, etc. Also, I got a mild shock from plugging my hairdryer into the bathroom outlet, which doesn't appear to be properly grounded. Not a place you want to hang around in, and not the best place to get ready for a wedding.

Location is awesome!
It's a great location! 1 block from Stanford University campus, 12 minute walk to California Ave train station. Not a large space, but Palo Alto is that way. Clean, quiet, it was exactly what we needed for a few weeks at the Stanford Medical Center. Had one issue as far as a stove needing maintenance, they took care of it immediately. You can spend $300 a night at the local hotels, but it's impossible to get a reservation. I would stay here again for sure. Also, free Stanford bus picks up a block from the unit.
Stay here if you get a chance and don't require a huge space to live in.
While the home is not fancy and the bathroom is the type you can brush your teeth while sitting on toilet, it was a great place to stay.
Short walk into town or campus.
Plenty of windows allowing a nice cross breeze.
Very quiet neighborhood.
All the essentials are there.
We would stay again.
location is not everything
Great, great location, clean unit in a quiet neighborhood. However, I would strongly recommend that a little attention be given to a few simple amenities such as: a bar of soap, a coffee or tea pot, some instructions for getting the TV to work and which remotes to use, batteries in the remotes, a knife, eating utensils other than a few random plastic forks.
