Our property hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly. The place had everything we needed for the week. The semi private swimming hole was a treat when the temps were higher than normal. I look forward to staying again in the future.

Gregg was a wonderful person to work with and wish all places were like his to deal with. The house is more than accomodating and worked very well for our stay. We snowmobiled right from the place and the trails were fantastic. We will be back for sure
Greg thanks for letting us stay at your home.
You have a great place and location and working with you was so easy. The house was everything described and more. If you are looking to get away from it all I recommend this house.
I hope to be back again.
This house was by far the best equipped home away from home. It is located close enough to “town” but still secluded and private. Gregg and Lorna Rae have a beautiful home and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this property!!!
My review is a little late but my partner and I spent the end of June to the 4th at this delightful private dream home! It had everything you could ever want and need. Gregg was an absolute delight to work with and made sure we had everything we needed, and more for an amazing 7 night stay. We brought a boat, and the short trip to the boat landing was SUPER convenient!! And the private pond entrance is adorable! It was nice to just lay in the hammock and enjoy the scenery. We had some rainy days on our visit but there was so many movies we had so much fun just staying in to watch those! Along with the board and card games! We had an absolute blast and would 10/10 stay again. Thank you for having us!
We rented the property for an early fall motorcycle weekend. The home was neat, clean, and well maintained. Owner was a pleasure to deal with and went into great detail about the rental prior to our arrival. Absolutely beautiful area, off the beaten path but not too far from local amenities. Highly recommend!!
We had the best vacation ever!!! From the time we booked Gregg was fantastic about quickly providing all information requested. When we arrived my wife immediately fell in love with the place. The property was everything we expected and more. Well stocked , clean and in excellent condition, secluded with well maintained grounds. Porches to relax on different sides of the house for all times of the day and a fire pit on the side porch and out door shower around back. Beautiful pond we had all to ourselves and kayaks, canoe and everything else you will possibly need. Again the owner Gregg was always available to answer any questions on the property and things to do in the area etc. This is one place we would recommend to one and all that are seeking outdoor activities or just pure relaxation. We definitely plan on returning.
An utterly delightful property, removed from neighbors and with innumerable aesthetic delights within, without, and throughout the property.
Our host was excellent with communications, and has provided everything we could want in a getaway - the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms come with pretty much everything we needed or would find at home.
The grounds are well-kept and, like the house itself, full of aesthetically-delightful discoveries. There are plenty of places to relax, in or out of shade, or commune with a group of friends and family, small or large.
Perhaps best of all is the private spit on the water, complete with docks, a picnic table, and a meditative aura that delighted all who came.
We were there for a long weekend to accommodate my need for electricity and be near my wife's large family while at their rustic camp a short distance away. While only four of us stayed in this house made to hold more, we had the family over for a light repast outside one evening, and they all agreed that this property is, in a word, delightful.
We loved our stay! we were able to unplug and enjoy company! We loved the set up of the camp and the private water access! We would absolutely stay again!

Amazing!
The house was absolutely perfect! Very clean and well stocked. The home owners thought of everything! There were 6 adults in our group and the house had more than enough room to accommodate us. The two decks were perfect for morning coffee and evening wine and a fire. We would absolutely stay here again!

beautiful home in the woods
we stayed at this beautiful cottage for 2 nights in August while attending a family reunion on Wilson Pond. The cottage was excellent- very clean and well equipped with absolutely everything you would need. The kitchen was large and opens into the living room, making it easy to entertain. It has 4 comfortable bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It also has an outdoor shower which we loved. The upstairs rooms had air conditioning and every bedroom had a fan so cool sleeping was easy. there were kayaks to use (we didn't have time), outdoor deck with BBQ and a firepit in back yard. The cottage is very spacious, quiet, private and comfortable. we would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend to family and friends.

Perfect family get away
Our family had a wonderful stay in the north woods of Maine at this beautiful home! It is tucked away from everything surrounded by huge trees. They have an amazing swimming area just down a path and tons of incredible hiking! We grilled, played games, had bonfires, watched movies and baked cookies. Gregg was extremely helpful and they have worked very hard to make sure that the their home has EVERYTHING you might need (even down to condiments and sunscreen)! We would recommend this home to anyone!

Absolutely amazing property
My husband and I, as well as a few friends, rented this house for the long holiday weekend and it was perfection! The house is gorgeous- warm, clean, and inviting. Gregg had thought of everything- the kitchen and bathroom were both stocked with essentials and ammenities. He was so friendly and available if we needed him. The location is nice and private. We enjoyed fires out on the lovely and expansive deck, as well as some excellent riding around Moosehead Lake. We are looking forward to coming back again this summer. THANK YOU Gregg and Lorna Rae for your hospitality- we love your home!

About the host
Hosted by Gregg Blackmer
My wife, Lorna Rae and I are both Emergency Room Nurses. We had to move away to find jobs and now we are based in New Hampshire. We cannot part with this property because we love it so much. We come up as often as we can to do what we would want you to. Relax and enjoy everything this area has to offer Thanks, Gregg
Why they chose this property
Most people take a vacation to get away from it all! You don't want to hear the traffic or hear the chatter from your neighbor next door. Everybody wants to be on the water but noise comes with that request. You can hear a conversation 100 feet away when your on the water. There is a boat always passing by. There is always noise and there is always lighst from all those other houses, maybe just like where you live. Not at this property.
What makes this property unique
We are located 3 miles from Greenville Center. Our home is approx 400 ft off of the road surrounded by woods. There is no neighbor to be seen. seldom do you hear anyone. The light that you see is from the stars or the camp fire on the deck. The noise will be from your family and friends having fun. There is a short walk to our private 1600 ft of water frontage that has deep water access for swimming or fishing with water temperatures in the low 70s at mid summer. We have Canoe and Kayak access to this stream. There is a Boat Ramp to Wilson Pond 1/8 mile away . You can Snowmobile or ATV right from our house so there is no trailering. There is the Appalachian Trail 8 miles away that gives you access to great hiking for kids and water activity. Access to plenty of wood roods for biking. Your options are endless.
