We loved this cabin! Awesome game room and cool layout. Location is awesome too!
We loved our stay in this house! It was cozy and our children had a blast with all the toys! The adults loved playing ping pong. The tile bathroom downstairs and one of our favorite amenities! Thanks for a terrific visit to Lake Lure!
Lake Lure is an absolutely gorgeous area and the cabin was everything we needed it to be. The area offers several wonderful restaurants and the local grocery store is about 15 mins away. There are wonderful trails and sites to see, including Chimney Rock. We were lucky enough to be there during the Apple Festival in Hendersonville. Overall, a wonderful stay.
First day was great. Second day not so much.
Management company difficult to get in touch with and slow to respond. Even prior to arrival it often took several phone calls to get a response. Messages sent to management through VRBO were never answered.
TV in master bedroom not working. When I called for maintenance, the first response was "I dont know if anyone is working today ( thursday)". Someone finally called back , came to the house then said it was his second day on the job and didnt know how to fix it. Shortly after that, the electricity went out (8:45 pm) I called to notify the management company and received a text that they were aware. Electricity did not come back on all night. We left at 7:30 am- 3 hours prior to check out to head dome. Management never apologized for inconvenience No offer of candles, flashlights or relocation. August 21- no air conditioning, no water , no lights. Everything in the cabin requires electricity so this means we could not flush the toilet, take a shower, feed the kids. The management requires dishes be washed etc prior to departure. I let them know we did the best to clean up in the dark . I understand they have no control over electrical outages but they should communicate much better with their guests.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you didn't have an enjoyable stay. We are glad to hear everything was good upon your arrival and the first day was great.
Unfortunately here in the mountains cell phone service is unreliable at best, that is why we encourage all of our guests to leave voicemails and or text messages. I apologize you received a response from someone I the office that they were unsure if anyone was working. We employ a full time maintenance supervisor who is on call 24/7 for just our properties and believe there is no call too small. After speaking with the staff member that came out, he unfortunately felt you had a better grasp on the TV set up than he did and wasn't able to adequately address your concerns. We did locate the missing Roku remote, we also discovered the upstairs remote works the master TV as well.
Regarding the electricity. As soon as we were notified of the power outage, we checked with Duke energy and gave you the estimated times for restoration. As the majority of our guests were all affected by the power outage, we would dearly love to have control over Duke energy.
Because of the mountainous terrain and common power outages, we stock all of our homes with small LED lanterns and flashlights. We would have certainly brought additional ones over if there was a problem with the ones in the home.
As a management company we would never expect our guests to do something that is physically not possible due to the lack of electricity, and we apologize you felt that was necessary.
We would appreciate the opportunity to host you again, hopefully the next trip wont be interrupted by storms.
My family had a great time. Good location. Beautiful house. Kids and us enjoyed.
No issues. Smooth rental process.
Fun in the Mountains
Great property with everything you need for a relaxing stay! The house is very clean and well kept. Our boys loved the game room downstairs. I do wish I had known about the spiral staircase that connects all the floors--we had a senior citizen in our party who couldn't use them. Plus, I would have packed a smallee suitcase to carry up to the loft. Otherwise, we had an amazing time and hope to return soon!
