About this property

Huge Pet-Friendly House in Hyde Park

“Big Blue” is a large house – over 4,200 square feet – located in the beautiful and historic Hyde Park, North End district of the city, literally steps away from some of Boise’s best dining and parks, within walking distance of downtown, and a short bike ride from the best that Boise has to offer.

The house has four bedrooms, a very large living room with bar, formal dining room, finished basement/entertainment area, and backyard w/BBQ.

Big Blue is perfect for larger groups and families. There are two master suites with queen beds, 1 room that serves as an office/sleeping with a queen bed, a downstairs bedroom with a full and twin bunk bed set along with a full-size futon. Eight people can sleep comfortably in the bedrooms.

The best part of the house is its location: in historic Hyde Park, you are literally within a block of Goody’s candy shop, Java Coffee Shop, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, numerous restaurants, antique shops, book stores, spas, and many boutique shops. You’re also a short 5-minute walk to Camel’s Back Park, with hiking and running trails, tennis courts, and playgrounds.

Although you’re close to everything, you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of the leisurely neighborhood, back yard and bbq.

Other amenities include large screen plasma TV, Wi-Fi, Roku and a large fenced yard.

A great house for executives, families or large groups. You'll find that you don't even need a car when you stay here, as the wide tree-lined streets are very pedestrian and bicycle friendly.

Within one mile of the house: grocery shopping, numerous restaurants and bars, yoga studios and spas, hospitals and clinics, theaters and cinemas, and much, much more.

Please note that there is a $20/night pet fee and a large group fee for groups over five people.

Fantastic location!
Was so fun to stay within walking distance of Hyde Park. Was convenient for graduation at BSU. Owner was responsive when we contacted him about an issue.

Boise North End House
The house is in a great location next to many restaurants and downtown. The house is very large but needs some TLC. The bed in the basement was so uncomfortable the couple staying down there moved to the living room couch. Many things were just old and beat up like the couch and other furnishings. The hostess was responsive but the upstairs AC was not fixed even though the handy man came over 3 times. There were several minor issues but I will stop.

About the host

Host profile image
A third-generation Idahoan, I bought this house but live out of state with my family now. We couldn’t bear to sell it, and we would like others to have the opportunity to enjoy it as much as we have.

Why they chose this property

The size and location: big enough for large groups, close to everything but peaceful with friendly neighbors and it is close to everything.

What makes this property unique

We love the fact that we never have to plan anything here: you can wake up and decide to bike to the Boise River and enjoy the zoo or museums there, or walk to the park for a game of tennis or some hiking, or stroll downtown for the Farmer's Market or to spend the day shopping and dining. You can do nearly anything you like and be close enough to home to easily come back for a snack, nap or to get some work done in the home office, or entertain friends or family in the big living room and backyard.
