What a sensational location!!!
Just thirty paces from the high water mark, this is a fantastic place to watch the ever changing moods of the ocean. Facing East, you get the morning sun across the water to welcome a new day, and later, in the evening, the moonbeams signal it's time to fire up the BBQ. A very relaxing and enjoyable property. Mike and Penny, Feb 2019.
Thank you for your wonderful, evocative review Mike & Penny, we love sharing The Mariner with others who appreciate this special location as much as we do ourselves. We loved having you, and hope to have the pleasure of hosting you both again!
We had an absolutely beautiful time at Kerri's home. She went above and beyond to make our stay magical. Kerri met us at her home and showed us around. The little touches like milk coffee, tea and sparkling wine was so appreciated. The house is so beautifully decorated and the view was even more amazing. Thank you Kerri for making our stay the most memorable. We will never forget our time in your home.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and to have you and your family stay, Serena, and we're so pleased that you had such a wonderful time! I hope we get to host you again next time you're in Tasmania. Best regards, Kerri
The Mariner is located in the seaside hamlet of Falmouth on Tasmania’s north east coast, approximately 30min north of Bicheno and 45min south of the Bay of Fires on the Great Eastern Drive. The property is also located within driving distance from Launceston and Hobart airports.
Falmouth is located only 25min from St Helens, a large town boasting two supermarkets, bakeries, liquor stores, cafes and shopping boutiques. There are also small supermarkets about 10min drive away at Scamander and St Marys, and 30min south at Bicheno.
We have national parks and conservation areas within 20-30 min drive from the property, including Douglas-Apsley National Park and the Bay of Fires Conservation Area, attractions such as East Coast Natureworld (approx. 25 min drive away), Eureka Farm (approx. 10 min drive away), and wineries like Devils' Corner, Freycinet or Springvale, all about 45 min drive from the property.
There is also a family restaurant and cellar door at nearby Whitesands Estate and Ironhouse Point Brewery (10 min drive up the road). We're also only around an hour's drive from Coles Bay, and there are a number of boat and air tour operators along the east coast should you be looking for a day of sightseeing the natural beauty of this part of Tasmania.
