Camp Island is an exclusive, private resort located in the north of the Whitsundays, Queensland’s world heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef marine park with white coral and sandy beaches surrounded by Cape Upstart National Park.
You will have exclusive use of Camp Island through out your stay. The Island is fully self catered where you are able to BYO all your supplies or with advanced notice we can order and pick these up for you.
Our hosts John and Lyn will meet you on arrival at Elliot River and transfer you to the Island. John and Lyn are local to the area and know how to find an activity to suit. John and Lyn live at Elliot River and are available 24 hours for anything you may need.
BUNGALOWS. Four spacious Bungalows nestled just metres from the ocean. Hardwood timber-clad construction with metal roof in the ‘Queenslander” style, silky oak door frames and polished timber floors All Bungalows can be configured as doubles or twins. They each have an ensuite bathroom, large french doors with screens, ample built in storage, ceiling fans and are connected by undercover walkways to The Main Guest Lodge for dining, living and kitchen areas.
MAIN GUEST LODGE. The Main Guest Lodge is the hub of the accommodation including lounge, kitchen and dining areas plus outdoor living space. Extensive covered timber verandas where one can dine, relax and take in the spell binding moods Abbot Bay has to offer.
THE HOUSE. The House is located in its own secluded location and has been built in one of the prime locations on the island overlooking Abbot Bay and the surrounding mainland. This 3 bedroom house is fully self contained with its own kitchen, two bathrooms, living room and wrap around verandahs. This location is perfectly suited for a parents or teenagers retreat where close enough to be part of the action and private enough if you want some of your own space.
