Great little getaway in a convienient location

My husband and I stayed here while we were in town for the Mayo Clinic. The apartment feels like a little beach side cottage in the interior and it’s clear how much work the owners put in to give it a lot of personality and make it comfy. I loved the colors and classic furniture and it made the place feel happy. We had everything we needed and when we encountered problems the host was easy to contact and helped us solve them quickly and easily! The only downside is this is very close to the heart of the city (by a suburban couples standards,) and the area around can be loud at all hours. My illness keeps gives me insomnia so I noticed the train, the loud music from outside, and I could hear talking and yelling right outside till 2 or 3 am. So if that bothers you it may not be the place for you. But you trade the quiet for convenience as there’s everything you could need within a few miles. (Or even blocks.) A grocery, a drug store, bars and restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, arcades and antique shops.

Super cute place!

The stairs were slippery and my dog refused to use them after losing her footing. There was a long black hair on the sheets when we went to get into bed, and the front porch needs a good cleaning. Otherwise the place was great and in a very convenient location. If not for the stairs, we would stay here again no question.

Nice, but ...

The place was clean. However, we could not get the fan to work in the back bedroom. Directions for operating tv could have been much clearer. And we were not aware the accommodations were on the second floor.

u arrive at the house and see all of the blooming flowers on the stairway to the entrance. Its a 100 year old home with tons of charm an right across the street from the king street strip where many of Jacksonville's hottest bars are located!
