About this property

Water’s Edge Contemporary (WEC) is a unique 5 bedroom, 3½ bath house on 1.27 acres overlooking Wepawaug Pond (River) in the old Town of Orange.

Designed with an open spacious floor plan that still offers comfort and privacy, WEC is ideal for vacationing families, visiting faculty/alumni, or City Dwellers looking for a nice nearby Weekend Getaway, or as a shared living space for up to 5 student roommates.

The main living areas have hardwood floors, carpeting, oversized picture windows, sliding glass patio doors, cathedral ceilings and skylights, a sunken living room, sunken family room, two large fireplaces, wet bar, conversation pit with TV, a garden patio and two decks, one that overlooks the pond, the other shared by two bedrooms viewing a side yard w/ bird feeders, baths and nest sites.

WEC is within walking distance to UNH Orange Campus, 6 minutes from Yale West campus, quaint Milford Town Center & Metro North station (1 1/2hr to Grand Central, NYC), restaurants, parks, beaches and boutiques; and 15 minutes from the cultural hub of downtown New Haven.
A small percentage of rent is donated to Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO), a 501C3 nonprofit charity for women.

Peaceful Beautiful Spot

We were a group of 6 traveling to see our daughter / sister / niece graduate. This was a beautiful home to gather in. We cooked dinners, breakfasts, did puzzles, enjoyed the view! There were several sitting areas in the home and more outside. Everyone could find a place that worked for them! There were 5 bedrooms that were all comfortable. It was just a wonderful location to hang out with the family. We all said we wished we had another occasion to come back. It was lovely.

Just perfect

In town for family Thanksgiving. Plenty of room for our boys to spread out; location literally within 8-10 mins of everything we needed. Beautiful yard and view. Easy check in and out, great communication with owner. Would definitely stay again.

Nature haven

The property was so divine. My favorite part was the deck and screened in porch overlooking this amazing green landscape and pond/lake. It was healing for me and a very comfortable house with way too much room even for our party of 8. Thank you.
