High above the village of Mauterndorf in Salzburger Land lies this old farmhouse on a hillside in the hamlet of Fanningberg. The three generously designed vacation apartments are located on the second floor of the house and offer a magnificent view of the gentle features of the surrounding mountains. Directly from the house you can start to hikes that lead you to the Fanningberg. Another worthwhile hike in the area will take you to Hinterweißpriach and Wirpitschsee. Stop at the parking lot Wirpitschsee and hike first the forest road to the end of the valley past the Granglerhütte, then up to the Wirpitschee ? a worthwhile destination in magnificent mountain scenery.

Directly in the ancient village of Mauterndorf a medieval festival takes place every year, maybe you are lucky and can participate. But even without the festival, a walk through Mauterndorf with its castle worth seeing is worthwhile. The adventure pool in Tamsweg offers both indoor and outdoor swimming and is therefore suitable for any weather. Another attraction in the area is a ride on the Murtalbahn, which takes you leisurely through the countryside. Also along the river Mur runs an extensive bike path for pedal knights who also like to be sporty during their vacation in a vacation apartment in Mauterndorf.

If you want to take an active approach to your vacation in Salzburg, the Grosseck-Speiereck adventure mountain is also perfect. Here there is pure action on challenging mountain bike trails, gliding or rafting.
