About Victoria Ramirez
My husband & I are native to Northern California and share 6 grown children, and 6 grandchildren. One of our all time favorite things to do together is to travel the world. We have traveled through most of Latin America, Europe, and the UK. Since retirement, we have concluded that Mexico is the most special country of them all. We decided to buy our second home in San Miguel. We now live part time in Northern California and part time in San Miguel.
Victoria Ramirez purchased this House in 2012
Why Victoria Ramirez chose Zona Centro
We chose this property because it is in an upscale, beautiful neighborhood which is quiet, but yet a 10 minutes peaceful walk to the Jardin, the center of San Miguel. On weekends due to many tourists visiting the centro it can get very noisy and loud.
What makes this House unique
There is a beautiful boutique hotel "La Puertacita" right across the street, which is perfect for breakfast, dinner or a cocktail.

Artistic, Spacious, & Inviting!
We loved every minute in this unique house. The decor was a feast for the eyes and the layout provided many spaces for quiet reflection or communal gathering. Francisco was very responsive to our needs and always ready to help. There were only two of us, as one friend decided not to come at the last minute because of the Coronavirus. However, one night we hosted two friends who live in SM for the winter and we enjoyed cocktails on the patio, dinner in the dining area, and dessert in the outside kitchen—all beautiful and comfortable spaces. We found the beds to be supremely comfortable and were pleasantly surprised to find that the tap water was filtered and safe to drink. We loved having breakfast at the hotel across the street —La Puertacita— and would have liked to try their dinner menu, but they were not serving more than breakfast at this time. The walk down the hill was not difficult, but we always took a taxi or Uber back up. We found that the taxis, at 60 pesos, were twice as much as Uber (31 pesos). We had no problems getting an Uber, usually from the corner in front of Companio (bakery and restaurant). We will heartily recommend Victoria’s place to anyone going to San Miguel and we hope that the coronavirus is short lived! Gracias, Victoria y Francisco.
Home away from home
This was our first time in San Miguel de Allende and the house instantly felt like home. From each couple having their own bedrm and bath to wonderfully decorated house it was easy to relax and enjoy our visit. The house manager, Francisco, was so easy to get hold of and answered any of our questions. The location was perfect and we loved being able to walk into town.
It was home!
We had such a wonderful experience! I would absolutely stay there again. The 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms were perfect. There were also 6 different patio/balcony spots to read, relax or listen to your music as you like. The appliances were all modern and in excellent working order. The direct view of El Centro was blocked by the other canyon buildings, but the roof was still glorious. The walk downtown was quick and easy (about 10 minutes). I walked back up many times for an excellent cardio workout, but taxis were always readily available and inexpensive for those who chose to use them.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. Also the property manager was always available when we called and cheerfully handled our every wish!
A fabulous San Miguel de Allende rental!
We had an outstanding four weeks here and have nothing but compliments for the entire experience. Francisco, the house manager was delightful, helpful and always available to stop by for anything we needed. The cleaning helper left everything sparkling. The location in the neighborhood was lovely. Can’t wait to return!
So Comfortable We Didn’t Want to Leave!
We were a group of 4 ladies visiting San Miguel for a New Year’s Getaway. Casa Fleur de Lis was the perfect home for us. We enjoyed every square foot of space from the roof top terrace (especially to watch the fireworks on New Year’s Eve) to the first floor outdoor kitchen and everything in between. I was surprised to find how much time we did spend cooking dinner and relaxing in the home after a day’s activities. Although the walk to Centro was maybe 10 minutes down a nice road (and a taxi return was about 60 pesos), we opted to enjoy the house rather than go out most nights. A few of the ladies even took days off and spent quiet time enjoying the house in solitude while the others went shopping. We also have made a new friend in Francisco who is the amazing property manager. He can do it all!! We already started planning not just one but two return trips to San Miguel before we departed!! I’d say this was a successful trip!!
We stayed at this beautiful house for two weeks and enjoyed it immensely. It is just as described. We had the third floor bedroom which opened out onto a patio which overlooked the city. It was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
The house has quite a few steps and different levels and this might bother some people, but taken overall it was not an impediment to renting this property. It is also a 25 minute walk down a steep hill to get to the Jardin, but taxis are cheap and plentiful. The property manager, Francisco, is very helpful and good to deal with.
We would recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit San Miguel.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I am so happy you enjoyed our home. Vicky
