About Don Pierce-Owner/Jaune' Pierce-Inquiries/Administrator
We are Don Pierce and Linda Harris. We both retired to Saint Marys from Atlanta, GA where Don owns a high-end Antique business (now being run by his son), and Linda retired from a Commercial Real Estate brokerage firm. After seeing the Southern Living Magazine article “There’s Something about Saint Marys”, in 2006, we both came South for a visit, loved what we saw and immediately purchased property for a home. Don built our home here in 2007 and we fell in love with the town and people of Saint Marys and truly consider it “home”! In September, 2011, Don had a rare opportunity to purchase the “Collier-Casey House” which has remained in the “Casey Family” since the late 1800’s, and couldn’t resist the opportunity to own one of a rare few pieces of historic, coastal-front properties in “the village”. He spent several months doing renovations and updates so that the property could be shared with visitors to Saint Marys as a family vacation/family event destination. Having our own home locally allows us to oversee the maintenance and rental of the property and to become acquainted with our guests!

What makes this Apartment unique
Saint Marys offers 'southern hospitality' at its best! The local people are warm, inviting, and friendly and it is not uncommon for locals to include guests in social gatherings. If you visit Saint Marys, you will love it and many decide to make it home. A visiting friend once told us 'I never thought I would want to live any where but Atlanta where my family and children are, but I'm ready to call my boss and tell him I'm not coming back'!

Convenient, affordable, and private with a gorgeous view
The accommodations couldn’t have been any better. It was clean, and there was an incredible view. Nice, easy walk to all of the restaurants, the park, and the ferry over to Cumberland Island.
Such a lovely home. Very peaceful and in walking distance of everything you need. The owner is very nice and we enjoyed chatting with him. We will absolutely be back.
Just as described
We loved our 5-night stay at this property. The attention to detail in the comfort, design and décor of the home is fantastic. The closeness to town was nice for walking to dinner or the waterfront park and it was so nice to have a view of the waterway where we especially enjoyed watching the Ospreys "fish" for their dinners daily. The owner was very welcoming and it was great to have a visit with him and learn a little about the history of the property. This is one of our favorite VRBO property rentals ever and we plan to return in the future. Thank you so much!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and are especially happy to be your favorite VRBO property. Thank you for your kind words and for drawing attention to the magnificent nature viewing possible as we are directly on the marsh and river. We look forward to your return visit soon.
Great location. Beautiful view of marsh and river.
This is an amazing cottage. The interior is beautiful.Very clean and the view of St Marys river and Cumberland Island is gorgeous. Definitely a place we will return to.
The view was beautiful. The place was beyond our expectations.
Everything was true to the advertisements. The owner was very proud of his property. Everyone respected morning time. Morning coffee was a delight and evening cocktails made the view much more. Town park was very beautiful and everyone should be proud. Will return.
