Plus tons of beautiful views from the deck overlooking the lake or the lower level covered patio- whether you are grilling or chilling-we have it all! NO WORRIES...we have a variety of life jackets, lake toys, and games available for your safety and enjoyment! SWIM at your own risk!
Stop at Wal-Mart before arriving because once you get here you will want to relax and enjoy the property! We are tucked away from convenience, so please plan accordingly. We are only looking to provide family-friendly get togethers!! (This is not a party house!)

Perfect retreat

We had five couples stay here for a Bible study weekend getaway. This was the perfect location to disconnect and enjoy a weekend together. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was very clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We will certainly be back.

We Always Have A Great Time!

This is our 3rd year staying at this property. It's a spacious house that can accommodate our large group. The yard is a great size for running around and outdoor games and everyone loves being in the water all day. It's far from a lot of convinces which can make it a little tricky if you run out of basics but if you plan ahead it's a nice escape from reality!

Christmas in June

We loved our weekend. We are from rural Iowa and are used to things like well water, remoteness, and entertaining ourselves. We did have some issues with getting enough hot water for showers and had to really space things out for the heater to stay caught up. Due to the extremely dry weather, we opted against swimming and the fire pit, but still enjoyed fishing and kayaking/canoeing. We enjoyed the large yard for playing games and generally loved the peacefulness of the remote area. The home is beautiful and set up well for large groups as far as utensils/dishes/towels/sleeping. Thanks for the relaxing weekend!

Perfect getaway for family birthday celebration

We absolutely loved this property and home. It was perfect for celebrating my parents 60th birthdays. With family in Illinois and Missouri it was perfect meet up location. There was plenty of space for everyone to run, play, relax and sleep. I communicated with Amy leading up to our trip and she was very kind and helpful. We all (18 of us) agreed that we would love to meet up here again for another family trip!

This 11 acres has been in our family for many generations! The surrounding land is family owned as well! We absolutely LOVE our land and our home! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We love to swim on HOT summer days and sit by the camp fire on cool fall evenings. Our kids love to explore and spot the wildlife that lives on our land! We have had some great fun playing games like baseball, basketball, and soccer!

Please understand that this is our home- we love our home therefore, minimal alcohol use is required and out of control parties are prohibited!!!
