About this property

COZY CABIN 2bd, 1 bath cabin River front (Shenandoah River). Huge front yard to enjoy with your friends/family with river views from the front porch. Getaway Cabin is fully equipped for all of your needs. There is a standup washer/dryer and the cabin has central heat/air. Step out the front sliding door to a 40ft long screened-in porch and sit down in an adirondack chair to watch the beautiful river with all the surrounding wildlife. Please check-in either Saturday or Sunday during the Summer months.

Great place

We found the house as described. It was convenient to The National Park and it was nice to come home to a comfortable place and watch cable TV and just relax after a full day of hiking. It was good for our dog too with a yard to take her out. The owner was responsive if we had any questions.I would stay here again.

Didn’t let rain spoil our parade

We picked up our very homesick JMU freshman and booked the cabin for quick getaway. We planned to hike SNP and not stay at the cabin much, but our weekend ended up being a complete wash out. Instead, we visited nearby antique shops and enjoyed a lazy afternoon in the cabin watching Food Network and playing board games. Nice sleeping arrangements and clean!

Late Summer Vacation

This is our third visit to Bill's property. As usual, it was spotlessly clean, and everything you needed was in the cabin. So peaceful, right across from river access. Loved sitting on the screened in porch looking at the river. Trails were easy to access and shopping was 15 minutes away. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Nice spot on river, great cabin.

This is a great spot to come and get away but still be able to sneak back into town once in a while. The cabin is nice and includes all the amenities needed to enjoy some down time. The screened porch was a great space to drop our gear. The location on the river was great for us and the kids - a 2-3 hr kayak float down to the bridge was just perfect with some fishing on the way. And just minutes away from hiking. Strasburg has a great little park and bike path along the river and some good restaurants, too. Overall, a great get away!

Shenandoah Vacation

This is our third visit to this wonderful vacation spot. We love the easy river access, the peaceful location, the fishing, the view and being able to bring our dogs. The cabin is clean and well stocked. There aren’t a lot of people around during the week. Thank you for a great vacation!

This special place is located in Deer Rapids on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.
