Cozy Cottage in Silver City
We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable cottage. The location was convenient and we had plenty of room for the two of us and our older dog. We were lucky to have some sunshine and rain - all in the same afternoon! The views from the small patio were great. We look forward to staying here again.

Cozy Casita
We just got back from spending 4 nights at the Casita. It is a lovely little bungalow, the perfect size for one or two people. It is well kept, comfortable, and very charming. The owners even left a much appreciated bottle of wine for us knowing we were coming to Silver City for an unpleasant family matter. The grounds are well maintained and I got to see a large family of quail hanging out while I had my morning coffee. I highly recommend staying here and it will definitely be our go-to place for future visits to Silver.

Sweet hideaway
We very much enjoyed our time at this quaint mid century home. It was big enough inside and it had a great little patio area with a view of the mountains. It was a bit close to the highway so there was some noise, but above and away from it somewhat. Very low humidity here in arid area so there was a lot of electric shocking from the nylon rug which scared our dog. Bare floors or cotton or wool throw rugs might help with that? Hosts were amazing and helpful and greeted us with a humidifier and rose wine which helped immensely. Totally recommend.

We are native Californians smitten by Southern New Mexico and its timeless beauty, history and its uncanny similarity to parts of California 'Gold Country' and other great places we have lived in or visited. We left California after selling our interest in TEKA-ILLUMINATION', an outdoor lighting manufacturing company in Templeton near San Luis Obispo. We can be found during the day at 'TATIANA MARIA GALLERY and lighting' in our 1884 building on Bullard street in the Historic District of old town Silver City. Tatiana started this business from a porch sale in Rosendale, known as 'MIDTOWN ANTIQUES'.

Why they chose this property

After acquiring our 1940's adobe on Mississippi in the late nineties... and then our vacation rental next to it (Casa Serena ID # 477174), we were offered the opportunity to purchase Casa Cielo, a great little home next to our existing properties that we had always admired and now makes a wonderful 'compound' of classic Silver City homes with wonderful native plantings that can only evolve with time and nurturing.

What makes this property unique

Before us, Casa Cielo was owned by a dear neighbor that gave us first shot at buying her place before moving out of state. We visited her several times and always enjoyed the sense of being above the surrounding homes and concealed by the oaks, junipers and natural plantings just outside the windows. It is unusual to find such a secluded setting with great mountain and city views, near to town and the WNMU unusual to find a small well-lit, well designed home that feels like a well appointed is what Casa Cielo is all about.
