Why Shirley Barnett Rodwell MBE chose Vence
When we found the apartment in Chenes Verts it had the space we needed - including a small garden, albeit on the balcony - and plenty of space for 4 people. Best of all, it is not overlooked by anyone, has fresh mountain air with an open view across a valley to mountains and is near enough to walk to the markets and the town centre, with Nice Airport, the beaches, a huge variety of places to visit and the Italian border within a short drive.
What makes this apartment unique
People really seem to enjoy their holidays in this apartment, which is comfortable with plenty of room for 4-6 people. It's equipped with cooking utensils and the dining table can be laid for an elegant dinner party with matching crockery and glass - or eat outside on the patio. The apartment overlooks a valley towards the mountains, it has an open vista which can be obscured by leaves on the trees below during the summer. In winter the apartment is warm and welcoming with central heating throughout. There is always a lot going on in Vence and the surrounding area - daily markets, seasonal local festivals, an annual music festival, art exhibitions, classical concerts in the cathedral, celebrations of regional foods - and plenty of places to visit. We suggest you pop into the Tourist Office in Place de Grand Jardin to find out what's going on in the region while you're there. There's a new flexible policy re. cancellations due to Covid19: holidaymakers who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that they've paid. If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund. they won't get a refund.
