Language barrier, slow response to no hot water
This apartment is very nice and is in a great location. But you do not have the view that accompanies its listing. The view is nice, but this isn't it.
We visited from the U.S. We arrived late afternoon, and discovered the next day that we had no hot water. I called our contact person and left a message on her cell phone that we didn't have any hot water--I also left the message in Italian because she spoke no English. I don't speak Italian -- thank you Google translate. There was no response for several hours and I left another voice mail. I called the following morning and got her on the phone; she had another person call me--I believe the management company for the apartment--and this person spoke English. She sent a maintenance person to our apartment who remedied the problem. We were leaving the next day so not having hot water for more than 24 hours was unfortunate. Even more unfortunate was the lag in a response.
I think HomeAway should require that every property include a list of what languages the people in contact with the renters speak. Then we--the customers--can decide if we want to stay somewhere where we don't speak the same language.
Overall, the apartment is very nice and is in a great location.

first of all we would like to thank you for your review.
we know that you had some problems with the hot water but we would
clarify that it wasn't a maintenance problem or something like that,
since the hot water is regularly provided in the entire property.
when you highlighted this trouble to our colleague Mrs Agostina, we have
ammediately alerted the doorman of the building in ordert to verify what
had occurred, and He referred to us that the boiler switch (located inside the apartment) had been disconnected.
This is the reason why you couldn't have hot
water for several hours.
Concerning the difficulty to talk in English with Mrs Agostina, we would
inform that we use to give her phone number (as further contact of the
person on site) just to be informed about all our guests' arrival time
and thus welcome you/them in a proper way.
For any other requests you might have or particular assistance we always
provide by email the telephone number of the booking office (as reported
in the email sent to you on April 29)
where you surely may find people from the customer care speaking English.
