We are delighted you have selected our home for your holidays. We hope that it brings you as much joy and comfort, as it does us throughout the year. It is a family home, so we simply ask you are respectful of the neighbors and the neighborhood. Please avoid loud music. There are 2 guard dogs and a cat who live full time on the premises and you may cross in the courtyard. The cat is an outdoor cat, so it is unlikely he will come to the main house. .. but we want to let you know the pets are there, just in case. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. There 30 hectares outside, so we invite you to fill your lungs with clean or dirty air... at your preference. We are firm believers of treating others, as we would like to be treated ourselves. Hence, we ask you that if you have any breakages or damages just let us know. Do not try to replace items yourselves , we prefer to do so. Lastly, the house rental comes with cleaning service integrated. The hours for cleaning are fixed at 4 hours, 2 times a week so a total of 8 hours. It is a big house and unless properly maintained every week it can become hefty labor. However, if you wish to cancel the cleaning service, for any reason, let us know in advance (the rate will not change). We hope to recuperate the house in the same state that we deliver it, so at check out let us know if you prefer to do the cleaning yourselves or want the optional exit cleaning fee of 100 Euros. If you have any issues during your stay, we are in the farm house next door so feel free to call us we are very happy to help.
100% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before arrival date.
A beautiful Chateau in tranquil surroundings
We had a lovely stay at Chateau ale Noble- it is a beautiful property that was equipped with everything we needed for our group (5 adults & 3 children). We loved the pool area, evening walks around the vineyards, exploring the local area...and even a trip south to watch the Tour de France for the day. The weather was perfect too. We hired bikes from the nearby village in Créon and used these to explore the area. The village of Saint Germain du Puch had everything we needed- a small Carrefour for supplies and two boulangeries for the daily baguettes (also a pharmacy, petrol station & two restaurants). Maria and Thomas were perfect hosts and we wish them every success with their venture. We hope to visit again!
The house is perfectly situated to kick back, relax and discover wine country. You are merely 15 minutes from Saint Emilion and 20 min from Bordeaux, both classed world heritage sites by Unesco. There is also plenty of children activities 15 minutes or less from the house.
Discover local food at less than 8 minute walk from the house in a laid back yet sophisticated setting; otherwise, you have a wide variety of restaurants and cuisines to choose from at Libourne, St Emilion or Bordeaux.
The property has 30 hectares, so if you feel like a nature walk do not even bother with a car. You may even want to follow the hiking path which allows you to browse through nature crossing more than 10 vineyards in the area ... starting with ours.
Grocery shop, bakery, bank and post office are just 1 minute by car. Prefer a super-market or want to see a typical French outdoor market? Go to Libourne a city with a history of more than 3,000 years. note: Outdoor market is open only mornings on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
If you are seeking outdoor activities, you may want to consider going to Creon, just 12 min car ride. There you will find a popular car free cycle / jogging path called Lapebie which extends for 58km. It was built on the foundation of the rail line that ran from Latresne to Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. Old stations along the way have been transformed into restaurants, wine bars and bike stations. There are also several golf courses to choose from, nearest one is less than 9km from the house.
Variety of activities for children, less than 15 minutes away. Horse back or poney riding for children and adults of all levels is offered by several well kept stables in the area. There is also a tree climbing centre, and you may even want to try river skiing on the Garonne a new facility just opened close by. And on a hot day, go see the water mirror in Bordeaux. A pleasure for small and big children (think about taking a swim suit)!
Take a day trip to the beach and visit the Dune de Pila, tallest dune in Europe rising 117 m. You are just one hour car ride away or enjoy a ferry ride to Cap Ferret and spend a leisurely afternoon on the beach.
Lastly, remember you are in wine country... so tour or go for a wine tasting in one of the many châteaux in the area. From Bordeaux AOC to Grand Crus, delightful way to spend the day. Recommend booking in advance.
