It is on the second floor so tricky for buggies.

It is city centre and so there is a potential for noise, but the bedrooms are at the back.
There is ongoing construction work in the area with potential for noise during working hours.

Excellent place to stay & would stay again
This was a fantastic flat to stay at for a few nights. It is close to the train station and right in the middle of plenty of restaurants and pubs. There is a good Italian restaurant two doors down that had really good food. The grocery is about a block and half away so easy to pick up a few breakfast items or eat dinner in the flat. We did both of these things. The washer and dryer were wonderful to have available. The flat was easy walking distance to the castle and old town to visit. We walked around a lot. This flat had everything we needed and was in a great location plus the beds slept the best! After a long days of walking that is so important. You cannot go wrong here.
Excellent location and accommodation
Comfortable, clean and centrally located. Place lived up to our expectations.
Only advice i would give a traveler is, do not bring a car to Edinburgh. Driving and parking in the city is nuts. If you do bring car, use the parking garage recomended by property owner
My husband and another couple thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was superb and the apartment was clean and spacious. The owner was always very accommodating and we all had a wonderful visit. Highly recommend.
Family Visit with teenagers
Great central location. Close to historic sights, restaurants and shopping. With the bedrooms located away from the street, it was quiet sleeping even being in the heart of the city. Multiple grocery store options that were very close. I especially appreciated the coffee shop guide in the apartment - visited all that were in walking distance. This would be my first choice of where to stay if I visit Edinburgh in the future.
The apartment is extremely comfortable and spacious. Well appointed, comfy beds, hot showers....what more do you need? Mairi Anne is very helpful, with suggestions of things to do and very accommodating when it came to variations to check in/ check out times. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
This location is amazing!! Five minute walk to Waverley, 10 minute walk to Old Town. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed. The small details were appreciated, from the detailed instructions for the flat, to the umbrellas by the front door, and the shopping bags for our grocery runs. A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended!
Just two minutes walk from the flat is the National Gallery complex, with the Royal Scottish Academy and the National Gallery of Scotland built in the mid nineteenth century by the architect William Playfair, these two handsome buildings with their Doric columns dominate the foot of the Mound.
Edinburgh Castle dominates the city skyline and is a short walk from 21 Hanover Street. From Castlehill, the Royal Mile starts and continues down through the Old Town towards one of the Queen’s official residences in Scotland, the Palace of Holyroodhouse passing en route the High Kirk of St Giles and the Museum of Childhood. There are lots of interesting alleyways and buildings to explore.
Hanover Street is part of the New Town in Edinburgh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, started in 1767 as a organized plan to build an new part of the city as the Old Town had become so congested. The streets and squares of Georgian architecture are more or less intact today. Charlotte Square is home to the Georgian House, a beautifully restored townhouse full of period furnishings of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and run by the National Trust for Scotland
The Royal Botanic Garden, down in Inverleith Row is a great place to spend a few hours strolling through the Palm houses and the beautifully landscaped gardens.
If the weather is cooperative, a fun way to spend the day is to join an open top bus tour – there are various companies operating services, all of which can be picked up from Waverley Bridge.
Further afield, there are many bus tours to the Highlands and other parts of Scotland, which can easily be done in a day. Rabbies Tours offer our guests a 10% discount- please quote JOY123. Waverley Station is close to Hanover Street and from there, it is only 45 minutes on the train to Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city.
