A lovely home
A very nice home that hosted 7 of us. Five of us were adults, one teen and one child. Plenty of rooms and plenty bathrooms too. Easy walk to the tube. Also, we enjoyed the market on Saturday in Notting Hill. Wonderful communication and questions answered in a timely manner. Thank you for letting us use your home. Your home made our visit run smoothly.
Lovely family home for a relaxing stay in London.
The house is really homely and spacious, can comfortably fit 10 people. We had a lovely stay here with a big family. The kitchen/dining area is allows for comfortable cooking of large meals. Communication with the hosts was also really prompt and easy. The only issue was that the listing indicated parking but this was actually not available at the property, only paid nearby. This presented a bit of an problem as the recommended carparks closed over the festive period but should be easily resolved with forward planning. Overall we would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.
So glad that you enjoyed your stay and we really hope that we'll be able to host you again. Apologies if there was confusion over the lack of parking. In both the hospitality section of the portal and our House Manual we do point out that as this is a central London property, there is no parking at the house and advise that guests don't bring cars into London. The meters and car parks listed are there as recommendations only.
Great accommodations for two families in excellent location
The house was terrific! Very spacious and comfortable for our two families of three teenage boys and four adults. Truly a five minute walk to the tube station. Good Access to central London and train stations. Lots of great restaurants under ten minute walk. Nice residential area. Groceries and post office very close by. Plenty of space in the kitchen. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable. Overall a great place to start and end our daily sightseeing. Property managers were very responsive to any questions we had and were proactive in giving us information. Overall a great house and week in London.
Thanks for your great review. So glad you all had a good time and we'll look forward to welcoming you again, when you return to London.
Summer week in London
We were 2 families (4 adults, and 6 children). We all had a bed to sleep on. This charming house was in great condition and in the best location we could ask for. The children loved playing with all the toys and the PlayStation! I would definitely recommend this home if you are travelling with children. Beats the hotel any time. Everything is right there!
Lots of space and a great location.
We were three families meeting up for a lond weekend. We found the property to be spacious, interesting and in an excellent location. Communication with the property manager was also excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider returning.
I stopped in London for a couple of days before heading home after a long business trip, and i couldn't have asked for better place to unwind. The house is in a quiet residential street, but only a few minutes walking distance from the charming Portobello flea/antique market and another neighborhood packed with excellent restaurants. The city center and main tourist points of interest are about 20 min away from nearby underground station. The house itself is as described online and could easily accommodate any number of guests. Finally, the cherry on the cake, the rental process is expertly and professionally managed by Helen, Lucy and Sally.
Thanks for your very kind review. We're really glad that you enjoyed your brief stay and it was a pleasure to be able to help - we'd be happy to welcome you back at any time!
The house is in the Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hill area, famous for its lively Portobello market, diverse population (artists, bankers, politicians and designers all rubbing shoulders) and the Notting Hill Carnival (Europe’s biggest carnival).
All of London’s central attractions within easy reach, e.g. Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Soho, Madame Tussaud’s, Chinatown, Covent Garden, Westfield Shopping centre. The nearest tube station is a 5 minute walk from the house, or use the 24-hour taxi services.
Notting Hill’s Portobello market is a 3 minute walk, with hundreds of stalls, antique shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques, bookshops and the oldest cinema in Britain (complete with leather armchairs and footstools!). The neighbourhood has fantastic parks, restaurants, cafes, bars, and boutiques – it’s all here!
