About this property

Castle on Glen, a royal adventure

Cross the moat and climb the stone steps to explore an adventure in this 1927 3-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath Tudor home. The Castle comes furnished with everything you might expect in your own house: towels, linens, toiletries and even Band-Aids. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, butter, oil, Pop-Tarts, pots & pans, both everyday and formal dishes, and anything else you may need to cook. Just grab your groceries and start making dinner. There is a drip coffee pot and both flavored and unflavored coffee, as well as a large selection of tea. The Castle also offers hi-speed wireless internet, TV with Netflix, a DVD library, a deck for outside dining, piano and a library of classics.
Missing the wardrobe of royalty? We've got you covered. Try on our dress-up clothes (from teeny weeny to very large), play with masks, or don the helmets imported from Scotland. It’s all just for fun.
We don't want you to miss out on some of the coolest features of the Castle, so we've set up a Treasure Hunt that sends you exploring to find cache at the end. We're confident you'll find the Castle to be more of an experience than a place to hang your hat.
This is not a B&B, but a guest house where you get the whole house to yourself. Ideal for romantic getaways, reunions or get-togethers.
Must be able to climb steps; half bath on first floor, all three bedrooms and full bath on second floor.
Located at 320 Glen Avenue in West Elmira, over the fence from the Country Club, 45 minutes from the Finger Lakes wineries, 10 minutes from the mall and 20 minutes to Corning.
2 day minimum; no pets allowed. This is a shoes-off house, so don't forget to bring your slippers.

Treated like royalty
What a wonderful weekend we had staying at the castle. We all loved the scavenger hunt and playing dress up. It rained all weekend but we were never bored with so much in the castle to occupy ourselves. It brought me back to staying at my Grandmother's house as the castle was built in the 1920's. Great experience for kids. Only recommendation is to have some kids costumes on hand, luckily we brought a dress for our 9 year old. We highly recommend staying at the castle. Such a unique experience.

Clean enough for King and Queen
Every corner of this “CASTLE “ was spotless. Comfortable beds, lots of attention to (details). Quiet area. Good reading & nice area to walk. Lucky for us there was a HUGE estate sale just a few blocks away. We had a terrific time ♥️ TY

One of a kind Castle!!
This castle is amazing!! From the 'treasure hunt', trying on costumes, the delightfully comfortable bed and the amenities available, to the history and collectibles throughout the house - i was in awe each day. I could have spent another 3 days just reading and enjoying the castle. We had two deer in the side yard one morning - ideal viewing with a cup of coffee. Many thanks to the host Kitty. We adored her castle and will be back next time we visit family in the area.

Everything expected and more
This palace was fantastic. Anything you want? They have. From toiletries to food to utensils to condiments. We packed very little food and it was a perfect mix of the accommodations and our own belongings. I went with my daughter and her friend and they glad a blast with the costumes. They are small sizes but there a few plus size. The scavenger hunt was fun and there are alot of things within 10 minutes or go to corning which is what qe did to eat and the museum. One thing I have to say however is the castle is hot. The fans really do nothing but move the hot air around. We were very uncomfortable for two of the high 80s days and nights, in spite of following suggestions. That said, the beds were comfortable. We woukd stay here again, in cooler weather, for sure!

I love to be pampered so it gives me great joy to create beautiful, comfortable spaces with little surprises of wonderment. Prior to owning a guest house, I was a software guru, a jet pilot, and a journalist. Now I focus on keeping a balance between work and play. If there is anything you need or want, please let me know so I can make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
