As a family of 4, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this apartment. The views of Ponte Vecchio and the other side of the river with its accompanying atmosphere and free entertaining music (which always ceased promptly at 10pm) made the trip a wonderful experience. The apartment was very well equipped and there was so much space. All correspondence was quick and our check in was very well organised. There was the obvious early morning noise and vehicle noise from the back bedrooms at night but this was expected from previous reviews and the central position so a minor inconvenience. I would highly recommend staying here.
Location is perfect to walk to many attractions. Had a wo
Had a wonderful time
Awesome location. Very nice apartment
The apartment is right where you want to be. Close walk to museums, restaurants, grocery stores, gelato. It’s a bit loud though at night so be prepared for that. But that’s the trade off for being in the center of Florence. Only issue was with the funkiness of the third bathroom. The shower is a separate enclosed room right off the bedroom. Although the room itself has plenty of space, the actual shower stall is very very small. Banged my arms many times. Might be time to remodel this and make a bigger shower area. Other than that it’s a great place.
Great home base location for discovering Florence
Paolo (our resident manager) was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The location was ideal to explore most of Florence’s downtown without the need for a car and was less noisy in the nighttime due to our being on the quieter side of the Ponte Vecchio bridge area with lots of conveniences nearby.
Due to the extremely hot weather (+40C), the only suggestion would be to have some fans that would better help the air conditioning units keep everything cooler. If ever we were to return to Florence, we would definitely attempt to rent this location again.
Five star Florence experience
Everything is top notch at this property. But its most amazing attribute is the location. 15 min walk everywhere on the north or south bank, or a quick taxi ride to some outer location. The apartment looks out to Ponte Vecchio (yes, exactly like you see it in the pictures). There are restaurants everywhere around and a small but very well stocked supermarket across the street that’s open on Sundays.
Staying here changed our perspective on Florence from that of an overpromoted tourist attraction to a magnificent city of culture and history. Stefania and her staff were awesome, the porter at the property was wonderful and helpful and the air conditioning worked in the midst of this summer’s heat wave. Fantastic all around.
Thank you to Stefania and her staff for a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
I can't say enough about this property!
The location was PERFECT!
The view was extraordinary.
The property managers were UNBELIEVABLY accommodating.
-I would like to add on to this point. We were driving in from Pompeii. The drive was long, took longer than expected and we were really quite tired upon our arrival to Florence. Our GPS could not manage to get us to our destination, as there was some sort of High Society concert/fashion show going on and the streets the GPS wanted us to take were closed and, well, we were really screwed.
I contacted the managers and they sent someone on a motorcycle to find where we were and instructed us to follow them.
It was a truly "above and beyond" moment and I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality!!
As far as the property itself, it was truly beyond my hopes. Photos and reviews don't always tell the full story. TBH, the last place we stayed in was somewhat of a letdown based on the photos on their site. This property was everything it promised to be and more. Spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and in a brilliant location with an unrivaled view. The pictures on the webpage of the river and Ponte Vecchio are REAL, right out the window of the living room...not simply "sites nearby."
On word of advice to future guests: Parking situation is a bit of an ordeal if you have your own car...what can I say, Leonardo may have invented the automobile but Florence didn't design its streets for thousands of them! ;>)
Also, pack light or have a "mini-stay" bag if you are not staying here for your entire trip. The elevator (actually pretty amazing that there even is an elevator at all) is QUITE small and hauling a ton of luggage to the property is cumbersome, but certainly manageable.
Amazing experience for my whole family!
The neighborhood is famous for its shops and its Florentine artisan shops (goldsmiths, leather craftsmen, antique dealers, etc.), full of cafes, wine bars and typical restaurants where you can taste typical Tuscan wines and dishes.
We are right next to Ponte Vecchio!
From the train station or airport I recommend a taxi or private driver.
Florence is a limited traffic area (ZTL), and the car is not recommended.
You can reach all the museums and the main places of artistic interest, walking a few minutes.
If you arrive with a car, I recommend the "Florence Parking", which offers a special price for my guests of € 25 every 24 hours, which can vary up to € 35, depending on the size of the car. Including car pick-up service upon arrival and return at departure: it will be sufficient to call the garage about 30 minutes before arrival.
Using "Florence Parking" you will have free access to the ZTL, excluding: Piazza Pitti and Via de ’Bardi.
In front of the apartment there is a supermarket.
