About this property

Country house near the Riviera del Brenta

Villa Emy is a large and charming XVIII century house, totally renovated and equipped with modern and period furniture. The House, surrounded by a delightful garden, is located in a quiet place, 10 km from Padua and 25 km from Venice. Children are welcome: for them a beautiful wooden house is located at the top of a large tree. Covered parking place available. Pets are welcome, provided they are tolerant with our cat living in the garden. There's no air conditioning but thanks to the structure and the walls of the house, villa Emy is cool in summer too.

We loved Villa Emy
This is not a house for ordinary tourists. This is a house for connoisseurs of life and art. Every object in it tells a story, and love hovers above. The garden is fairytalish. It has all the amenities for both short term stay and long term living. Although the cottage is huge, even on cold days the heating system kept us comfortable and in the evenings we lit the fire just for ambiance. The Internet has a strong coverage everywhere in the house, which makes it suitable for work as well as for leisure. Our host Karma took care of us in the most subtle way and we somehow felt him as family. And Emy, oh Emy, is one of the most gracious and graceful ladies I have ever met and when you meet her you know why the house has such a spirit. Enjoyed and loved every single moment!

Stunning beautiful villa. Lots to discover
2 Families with adult children spent a lovely week in the villa. Lots of space for 8 persons. Very individal furnished and decorated rooms. Good beds and enough space to gather with the whole group. 100% recommendation for larger families. We used public bus to Venice and Padua. Easy and no stress.

Villa Emy with friends
The house was fantastic and the location too. Villa Emy is very special and we had a very pleasent stay. But on the other hand, there were no internet for the whole week. Furthermore the first 2 days the heating was not working. But than it was very cosy and warm. The only bad point was the tidiness. The whole house has to be cleaned completely. But at the end we had a fantastic stay!

We are a couple retired since a few years. We have lived several years abroad (France, Holland, Great Britain) and now we enjoy our nephews and our hobbies with satisfaction. The flowers and the vegetable garden take up a lot of our time.

Why they chose this property

Villa Emy is our home. We bought it in 1990 and we have totally restored to take it back at its original conditions. The atmosphere of the premises is beautiful. We take care with great passion of the garden, the orchard and of the vegetable garden. When we rent the house , we normally go on vacation.

What makes this property unique

The only sure date in the history of the Villa is 1747, when it was enlarged to its current size. This date is incorporated into a corner of the Venetian terrazzo floor, still preserved. The original structure, which dates back to the 16th century, was very different as we can see from the traces still visible: the building was a small loggia with three arches and the roof where the first floor is now.
