Magical place!
After a week in SMA, one could easily see why people love SMA. The food, arts, music and people are awesome. The town is alive with weddings, musicians and a special vibe! Zone Centro is on the most picturesque street and best location in town. Teresa and Lorena were the best at taking care of us and making fresh salsas every morning with our huevos and frijoles. Her chilaquiles were the best! Zone Centro has an amazing living room and dining room outdoors with a courtyard. The three rooms are suites with their own bathrooms.
Beautiful home, terrific location!
This is a wonderful historic property that combines indoor and outdoor living through a beautiful courtyard and terraces - all within blocks of the historic center of SMA. Teresa prepared great breakfasts and there are many delicious restaurants in the neighborhood. Would definitely return to the Cas Pina!
Perfect
House was true to photos. Charming. Couldn’t be more centrally located.
Gorgeous home, fantastic location
We can here with our family to attend a wedding. The home is incredibly charming with beautifully furnished rooms and multiple balconies. A perfect gem.
4 Night stay in San Miguel
Casa Pina is a beautiful and very comfortable colonial in an excellent location. We had Teresa make us breakfast each morning which was delicious and worked out great. We all loved the house and can't wait to go back. Julie
Gorgeous house, best location in town!
I could not be happier with our stay! We were 3 friends on a girls weekend. This place is MASSIVE for 3 people. 3 couples would have still felt spacious.
We spent a ton of time in the outdoor living room off the courtyard. We also spent some time in the beautiful little cactus garden as well.
The photos represent the house very well, so I won't go into massive detail that you can see from photos.
I was in the master bedroom. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and sleeping with the balcony doors open was lovely. My friends each loved their rooms equally as well. The twin room opens to the cactus garden, and the other room has a hammock and easy access to the rooftop.
There is a formal living and dining room connected to the kitchen. I suppose it gets used in the coldest and hottest parts of the year, perhaps. For us, there was no reason to go in those rooms, since the indoor/outdoor feel was so wonderful.
Teresa cooked us a yummy breakfast every day, which was nice. We enjoyed having coffee and a bite in our pajamas before having to dress and head out. She made roughly the same breakfast each day, although we didn't ever ask for anything different. I suppose we could have, although I'm not sure.
Our rooms were cleaned and made up every day after we went out from the house. They even will do some of your laundry for you, if you leave it for them, which was great!
The rooftop is great, especially when there are fireworks (which is extremely frequent in SMA!). There are some acapulco styles chairs up there. I think it might be nicer if they had an outdoor sofa up there instead, something cozy to lounge on for longer periods. But perfectly nice as is.
The location is probably unbeatable. I literally don't know of a house closer to the centro, but also somehow quiet at night, and on such an ideal street as this one.
It's beautiful, well staffed, livable and cozy, located perfectly... Pretty much perfect!
My only recommendation to the owner is that for this price point, supplying shampoo and conditioner would be a nice touch. I had already read that it was not included, and we brought our own. But sometimes that's a nice way to elevate the property.
We loved our stay, and will be back for sure!

Casa Piña SMA is at the beginning of Aldama, a picturesque, cobblestone, residential street that leads away from the back wall of San Miguel's main church located on the town's central square. The chic restaurants, bars and rooftop terraces are a just steps away. So is Parque Benito Juarez, San Miguel's Central Park, if you will. El Centro Historico is at your doorstep, everything's within walking distance-- really.
