About this property

This self-catering cottage lies in a secluded spot on the Laga Mountains, a protected area of remarkable natural beauty. The surrounding mountains and valleys are covered with forests and crossed by many footpaths and streams. The house is an ideal base to go hiking or mountain-biking, or simply to enjoy peace and tranquillity immersed in the nature. Situated 800 m. above sea level, with thick stone walls, the house is never too hot in the summer, hence no need for air conditioning.

The fully-equipped kitchen/dining room and the living room have an open fireplace and beamed wooden ceiling. The veranda, also with wooden cover, offers a nice mountain view and is perfect for al fresco dining. The property comprises a fenced private garden with parking space for two cars within the fence. The garden has fruit trees, garden chairs and table and a hammock. Table tennis, board games and a soft archery set are available to guests for free.
The owner meets the guests when they arrive and is happy to provide useful information and suggestions about places to visit etc.

... una delusione

Purtroppo, nonostante le aspettative, siamo rimasti molto delusi. Laciando stare i 6km di sterrato di cui eravamo a conoscenza, abbiamo trovato la casa molto trascurata e sporca. C'erano ragnatele ovunque, il piano cottura molto sporco e le stoviglie sono conservata dentro mobili senza lo schienale, e nella caffettiera c'era addirittura la ruggine, infatti non l'abbiamo usata. L'annuncio parla di una villa ma credo che sarebbe più giusto chiamarla casa, perchè se uno dice villa si hanno delle aspettative. In più la casa era freddissima ed è stata aperta quando siamo arrivati noi, e probabilmente era chiusa da tempo viste le condizioni. Il giardino era molto trascurato e se andate con i cani occhio perchè abbiamo trovato parecchie zecche in giardino. Devo dire che è un peccato, perchè la casa ha molte potenzialità ma si vede che è trascurata e usata poco. Il wi fi è assente in casa e fuori, quindi se volete isolarvi da tutto e tutti è il posto ideale. Veramente un peccato perchè la zona è tranquilla e isolata e perfetta per staccare completamente ... ma è proprio una casa poco "CONFORTEVOLE" infatti siamo andati vi un giorni prima ...

Vacanze in montagna... Che dire...

Nonostante sapessimo dei 6/7km di sterrato era veramente molto pesante farla tutti i giorni per tornare a casa... Casa che purtroppo non abbiamo trovato in buone condizioni...pulizia pessima con ragnatele dappertutto...tendaggi pieni di polvere materassi pessimi e per finire cucina grassissima e sfornita...con pentolame inadeguato... Mai più

Tranquilità

La casa è perfetta per quelli che cerchiamo a un posto isolato e tranquilo. La strada è un po complicata e se piove non molta comota. Ma se fosse diversa probabilmente non sarebbe così isolato e tranquilo. Nella casa ci sono tutti i servizi completi. Il portico che ha è perfetto per rimanere le notte a chiaccherare. Very disappointing - uncomfortable beds, leaky house, difficult access, no water for 1 week

We booked to stay here for 3 weeks in August. The road must have worsened a lot since the photos and descriptions were put on the website. The last 25 minutes to the property is on a gravel track with huge holes and steep inclines. It really needs a 4x4. Each time it rains more of the road is washed away. The rain also came in through the doors, windows and chimneys of the property making large puddles inside. 2 days after we arrived we had no water at all for 1 week. Fabio offered to let us use his shower and washing machine, which was really kind, but not really practical at 45mins drive away. Almost 2 weeks after we arrived the rain washed away huge sections of the road making it impossible to reach the villa by car so we had to find a hotel for the night. Fabio informed us that the road was repaired the next day. However, the damage was extensive and we could not risk being stranded if it rained again, so we left the apartment a week early. Unfortunately there is not a lot to recommend with this property. We love abruzzo and there are magnificent views of the mountains on the way to the house, but not from the house itself. We couldn't let the kids roam free because there are wild dogs living nearby, The beds were uncomfortable and it took us about 45 minutes drive to reach the nearest supermarket in the town of Teramo. There is one tiny fridge so you can't stock up but have to go shopping every day. The most disappointing thing in all our stay was the fact that Fabio was not willing to refund us any money and we ended up having to pay for 2 holidays as it was not possible to stay at the villa for the full amount of time that we booked it for.
