About Dianne Kramer
Brett Kramer is a high school teacher in Kansas. Dianne Kramer is a nurse practitioner in Kansas. We both love Georgetown and the mountain activity offered here. Our summer vacation in Georgetown was a family outing, with the 3 year old grandson ready to move the rest of his family here from Kansas City. The whole family loved the trip.
Dianne Kramer purchased this House in 2014
Why Dianne Kramer chose Georgetown
We purchased the property after a summer family vacation in Georgetown. We fell in love with the town and the lifestyle, and wanted to have it again, as well as to offer it to other family groups for memory building at a slower pace! Georgetown is located on the front range, very close to Loveland Ski Area, and about 30-45 minutes from Keystone, depending on traffic and weather. Also close to Denver.
What makes this House unique
This home is very cozy, allowing spots to get away from each other but also plenty of areas to be together in a large group. The location on this very gentle lake promises to be a place to make memories with the grandkids, and a place for my husband to just sit and fish if he wishes. The many windows in the home allow for great ventilation on warm days. We are off the interstate just enough that the noise is not a big problem, but accessibility is available.

Cabin-like home by the lake
Overall, the home was adequate for what our group needed for the weekend.
Things we liked:
- Plenty of space for everyone (6 adults, 2 teens)
- Great location right on the lake
- Ample parking in driveway
- Laundry with detergent
- Lockbox made entry/exit simple
Things that could have been better:
- Bedding/pillows need updated
- The mattresses are comfy but very squeaky
- Broken DVD player and detergent latch in dish washer
- Strong cigarette smell in entryway, but rest of house was ok
The sleeping areas are well-described in the listing. There is only one “bedroom” with a bed and a door in this house; the upstairs sleeping space is a very open-air loft and the lower level rec room has doors for privacy, but just a pull-out couch.
Perfect Setting for a Relaxing Family Trip
Our family had a wonderful time! Georgetown was a great centralized location for all the activities we did during the day. Having a lake in the backyard was perfect for evening fishing and entertaining our kids.
The pictures of the interior do not accurately depict how very cute and spacious the house actually is!
Perfect Getaway House
Great property with the perfect location. Great little town with lots of friendly people.
Laid back and beautiful
Easy location, clean, and right on the little lake
Great vacation spot.
Property was comfortable and clean. Location was great for several scenic drives and hikes as well as day trip to Pikes Peak. House is well stocked and check in easy. Two teens enjoyed the paddle boat and fishing.
Great lake house
Had kids and grandkids. House was very well equipped. Really enjoyed the paddleboat and fishing. Definitely stay again.
The tiny town of Georgetown has 3 main areas, the historic downtown, where many stores, art and specialty shops for ice cream, baked goods, are located, the area near the visitor center, which includes restaurants, convenience stores, and Family Dollar, and the Georgetown Loop Railroad park, for train rides. The lake area is primarily housing.
